I don't know if i should make this question or no, but i'll give a try and see......

It seems that whatever i do, i can't run snes emulator on my psp. I was having 3.90 m33 and today i've been upgrade to 3.95gen, but the problem seems to stay.

For you to underestand, the emulator starts normally and after about 3 or 5 minutes, it freezes and the psp turns off. Does anyone know why it makes this error?

I've searched the internet, but i didn't find an answer, so that's why i'm asking here. (I hope that i want get a banation for that topic) :-X

I'm having the same problem, but with all emulators. I don't get it. I have the latest filmware, I think it's something like 3.9. I can't run anything, let alone get the roms, considering the Chapel's multimedia is down.

Like I said in another thread. Having the newest versions will make all emulators have bad results. Most emulators are for versions 2.0 and below.

But I havent been paying much attention to whats going on in the psp world. Last I heard was you have to have 2.0 or under to even be able to play roms. But having that version will not let you play most psp games.

The only PSP game I even care to look at is DXC. Can I downgrade my filmware and still play it? If so, how?

Its possible to downgrade it again. Though there is a risk of ruining the psp permanently. Though its a rare thing to happen. As for playing games, the only way to play psp games is to use the version that it installs or better.  Its sony's way of trying to make the psp nonhackable.

Yeah, it's a bitch.

I downgraded to 1.71 so that I can have emulators... but now I can't play Echochrome  :'(

However, DXC seems to work fine.

Pico and some others emulators, are working fine. The only one that doesn't run is snes and i can't figure out the why, since at read me it says that it works perfect with 3.90 m33 or above! ???

You sure? Will that filmware run most Emus?

You shouldn't upgrade every time a new firmware comes out if you want all your stuff to work. I've stayed at 3.52 M33-4 because it allows you to play the newer crop of PSP games, but the PSX stuff and emlators still work. The quickest way to get all your crap to stop working is to upgrade.  :P

Have you checked the kernel settings? Maybe your kernel is set wrong.
