We're less than 2 weeks away from the game, everyone is pretty excited/looking forward to it to some degree. I have to wait a little bit until I can actually play the game after launch day, however.
I'll cut to the chase, is anyone willing to stream Lords of Shadow on here on launch day? Rugal's thread gave me the idea to ask this question.

Heh, that I did, but the payoff was totally not worth it. I was stuck on it for over an hour, I watched him get up to it for an hour, and during that I asked on GameFAQs if anybody else who had the game knew the solution, I was warned for apparently pirating the game. Despite the fact I physically have the PS3 box, manual, and disc ;__;
Oh well, the game is still wonderful so I don't mind much.

OK it's safe to say that Chupacabra is the best character in the game.
Edit: Jesus christ, the framerate dropped to hell when the zombies showed up.

Ok the Dracolich looks really boring. Way too massive and no direction on where to go.
I've been watching this stream for a couple hours and so far I keep forgetting this is a Castlevania game. I honestly do not have any intention to buy this anymore. If I did I would have ended up disappointed for sure. It's a fantastic game, no doubt, but it has little to do with Castlevania. It doesn't even feel like a reboot either, it's something entirely different.
This taught me to stop hyping up games for good.

Man, I can't believe some of you are letting yourselves spoil such late-game events before the game is officially out.
The most I bothered to watch was the Ice Titan battle, 1 second of the dead titan stage, and literally only 5 seconds of what I assume was a later stage involving black hole warps.
Can't wait til Tuesday.

I don't know if I liked that ending at all. If they just retcon LoI, then the entire timeline will fit. I wouldn't mind, LoI sucked. But really, that ending was ridiculous. No Death? Zobek being the bad guy was so predictable that I hoped that they wouldn't do that. Also, what about him hiding in the shadows? Has Dracula just been sitting their for 1000 years, or did the rest of the timeline happen? Its so ambiguous its terrible. I'm quite disappointed in the ending.

That ending was such a complete and utter mind fuck, but besides that, this was a god awful reboot. I'm VERY interested in seeing what that ending leads to but I have no desire to purchase or play this game anymore.
It's just a very wacky game in general.

He's not there sited by 2000 years, he's just "resurrected" as usual because that's the "usual" 1999 resurrection! Death wasn't there yet, light will be shed soon I think... Zobek has been there all the time but he didn't interfere, he didn't mind about Drac until Satan would be resurrected (or brought back to the living world). The DEMON castle Wars are about the whole world fighting SATAN, Dracula dies at the end? Sure, but that's because ZOBEK promised him that, we just sought that!... my God this game is awesome, noe THE TIMLINE ACTUALLY HAS SENSE! ;D
Premature resurrections?. Explained.
"Death" working for a man?. Explained.
Why does Dracula dies at the end of 1999 and wahy that battle was different to all the others?. Explained.

Honestly this is probably going to go in an entirely new direction.
Also we should have seen this coming since the beginning, and many already did. Gabriel isn't even a real Belmont, he's a bastard son of the Cronqvist family. His bio/origin gave away the ending.

Heh, I agree. And that battle with the Dracolich was terrible. It was so freaking long and boring and an obvious rip off of the flying colossus in the desert from SotC.
Unfortunately I only got to start watching the stream during the Necromancers Abyss part. The platforming actually looked really fun, but the boss battles were too long and were not very exciting. The bosses should just be made harder by making them more likely to kill you rather than giving loads of health. And checkpoints during a boss battle is just ridiculous. If you need to add check points to a boss battle, its way, way too long.

Cut forward about 1000 years and he is apparently hiding in a church, and Zobek approaches him telling him that Satan is about to return. So if this is being tied into the 1999 game, it will be Belmonts VS Dracula/Gabriel and Zobek VS Satan.

If Gabriel really was a Belmont, and he became Dracula, then Alucard would be a Belmont. I also didn't know that Gabriel wasn't a real Belmont so I can understand the confusion.

this is better as the start of a separate universe. a very odd separate universe.

I was not arguing,and I apologize for calling you a dickhead.Like I posted,not privy to the canon,I was just going by the ending cinematic to CLOS off the live stream,it shows Gabriel and or Drac sitting on a throne with his hand on a young persons head,or was that a statue? :P

Really, the story, after viewing it, while fleshed out a little more, doesn't actually seem that far off from what people claim IGA has been doing with the CV series. Some thought it was going to be better, but after watching the stream, other than some of the gameplay ideas, the story itself wasn't anything to write home about, and as a "prequel"(rebooted prequel to Dracula), it's just as hokey as how people claim Mathias being Dracula is. At least, with Mathias, he worked as the puppet master, stringing Leon along. With this, Gabriel, who eventually becomes Dracula, was the one who was being strung along. I think I have more respect for Mathias, though.
Also, Gabriel = Dracula has nearly the same standings as Mathias = Dracula. I wonder if the "Vlad III" fans are going to hate on the whole Gabriel thing? "But, we wanted VLAD TEPES to be Dracula, not some guy named Gabriel!!".

Calm down. The ending didn't even say it took place in 1999. They didn't even reference the Demon Castle Wars, either. You're reading too much into it.
Anyways, wow. Am I the only one anticipating the NEXT CV game(maybe next IGA one) already? This one's story left me unsatisfied. Maybe playing it might make the experience slightly different, but no way was the story better than your standard IGA fair. At least, whenever we get another IGA one, we'll have classic Dracula, classic Castlevania and such.

Fair argument, but it probably dampered my enthusiasm for this turn of events because a very vast majority of this game felt/seemed nothing like a Castlevania game.
