Just wondering since the hunters seem to be getting younger these days
-
Child Maria is the youngest character to beat Dracula. She must have been 12 or 13 at the time.
-
My guess would be RoB/DXC Maria with Soma coming in at second place.
-
Yeah, Charlotte and Shanoa were definitely older.

Is there somebody younger that I'm not thinking of? Oh crap!
...Charlotte...
I forgot about her. Maybe because I try not to think about PoR.

Carrie Fernandez fought Dracula but we all know it was Reinhart who took him out.

Maria was twelve in Rondo when she confronted the count.
-
I suppose it'd be Child Maria, Carrie Fernandez, Charlotte Aulin, and then either Sonia or Shanoa, or Nathan. Don't have their ages though.
-
^^ I think Soma is before Shanoa/Sonia/Nathan

That's all well and good except for the whole Soma never fought Dracula. You know, one of the mandatory obvious criteria for this thread.
-
Maria Renard - 12 + Carrie Fernandez - 12
Charlotte Aulin - 16
Sonia Belmont - 17 (not only did she have sex before marriage, but she was underage!)
Soma Cruz - 18
Shanoa - 20
Dunno about Nathan's age, though. Hope this clears a few things up.

IIRC, Nathan is 20, so he'd be alongside Shanoa.

Is maria defeating dracula canon? I thought Richter beating him was canon.
well, judgement said that they did it together so..idk.

Think of it in the terms of SotN. Richter was fighting Dracula and was on the losing side. Maria, who's strength is equal to Richter's, gives her power to him and he uses that strength to defeat Drac. So yeah, they technically did it together.

I haven't played it, but wouldn't the correct answer be the Golem in Judgment? (Although Dracula isn't the final boss in that game, is he...)

And I completly forgot that in Sorrows you dont fight Dracula lol

I forgot as well. However, one CAN interpret that Soma did indeed defeat Drac by fighting off the urges of Drac's soul. That's just me coming up with an excuse for my own forgetfulness.

Yes, defeating the Chaos could count as defeating Dracula. After all, the Chaos is the source of the Dark Lord's power. I also want to note that it is the first and only time Dracula beat a Belmont. I mean Soma is Dracula reincarnated.

Doesn't Soleiyu count? Well... technically...
-
Well, Julius WAS holding back. Otherwise he could have killed Soma.

SOMA: But... Julius, how did you defeat the invincible monsters?
JULIUS: Them? Oh, I just destroyed them before they could regenerate.
This one scene from DoS shows the power gap between Soma and Julius.
-
Wait where is that scene?

In Dawn of Sorrow when you see Julius fight Dario in whatever dungeon it was that played Vampire Killer.

You forget Claimh Solais. According to our history, people during the medieval period and the the Roman Empire were getting married at at least age 14. People didn't live very long back then (at least 30 to 40 years or so. More if you were lucky like Ramses II. 89 ys) so it made sense to start a family before your biological clock ran out on ya.

Was kidding around, man. But thanks for the info, didn't know most of that info. Only knew about the marriage age. :P

And what about Julius in 1999? He should be like 17 or something.

He's 19. I did the math.
-
Yes, he was 19 in 1999. I want the 1999 game so that we can see a young Julius (who is probably at his peak) take on Dracula. If Julius is as powerful as he is as an old man, just think of how powerful he is as a young man in his prime.

Harmony of Despair attack stats:
Jonathan - 67 (Isn't he like, 24?)
Richter - 69 (19)
Simon - 68 (24)
Julius - 68 (50)
Now imagine Julius in his prime. Imagine his attack. ^.^

Nah, I don't go by that. In my opinion, Richter took him out himself, without any help.

Cuz only n00bs get pwned by Dracula in the prologue. :P
Except in Esco's hack. Holy shiiiiiiiiiii that was hard.

This only happens when you actually lose the battle in the prologue. But since it's a prologue to the up-coming main game then you can't lose and that why Maria shows up and lends you her power. I think it's more for show rather then being canon-wise (and it does make for a flashy show). Richter handled Dracula on his own just like his forefathers before him.
-
Agreed. I think Richter did it alone, and that Maria never defeated Old Drac on her own (in the canon).
