Belmont: Sorry. But I know how this will work out already. I've READ the family history. Belmonts and Best Friends DO NOT MIX. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to lock my girfriend up in the Vatican until this shit blows over.

Best Friend: Oh. Ok then. *dies*

Stretching the example to family, we have Christopher and Soleiyu. Easily enough points to determine a trend.

Gabe and Zobek were never friends. Zobek shows up to assist Gabe with the ice titan and then agrees to help him with his quest. The only reason Gabe trusts him is because he claims to be apart of the Brotherhood of Light and wears they're outfit. Plus, he says that the Brotherhood sent him to help out and Gabe has reason to doubt this.

Then there's also Simon and Serena from Haunted Castle. Simon should've locked Serena in the church before Drac had a chance to snatch her away.

It's more like Cv protagosnists shouldn't have friends, they are bad, or they are killed (Gabriel anyone?)

Hahah friendship doesn't exist in this series :P

I would be more worried about being a Belmont crush/girlfriend/wife though!

Thing is, most of the Belmont crush/girlfriends/wives are defenseless damsels. Lydie, Mina, Serena, Annette, Sara, Rosalie, the list could go on.

About the only exceptions I can think of are Sypha, Maria and Charlotte, since both of them can easily fight for themselves.

How could you forgot Shanoa? Man, she's the best female protagonist in the History of CV.

Castle isnt always in the same spot though is it? some games have you going through the castle ruins.
