I don't know, Yu Yu Hakusho started off good, but like others, was lost to monotony throughout the course of the series. Y'know, NOT unlike Sailor Moon or Dragon Ball Z(or MANY anime series, for that matter). When some anime get THAT long, they really should just put the hatchet to them. One I have a heated hatred for is Inu Yasha. Oh god, somebody has to KILL that show. It's, like, the only show on Adult Swim that has never been taken off the air. How many damn times are they going to find Kikyo, just so that she can die, OH, but she doesn't! But she does, NO, she's back again!!! If I could declare nuclear war, it would be against INU YASHA!!!!
And yeah, stylized cartoons, in general, arent' bad. As I said, a variation would be better instead of ALL stylized cartoons. Y'know, just like, back in the day we had G.I Joe, sure. We had He-Man, and Inhumanoids, and Centurions. But, we also had more cartoony stuff like Smurfs and Snorks. We had some Disney stuff like Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers. And there was some anime, like Robotech and Voltron. We had a good balance of styles in the 80s. Maybe it's the kids now. I mean, I LOVED the original Batman: The Animated Series, but The Batman was just horrible(looking)!
I don't mind Chowder. Some cartoons like that, I love. Flapjack scares the living crap out of me. Some episodes were cute, but some are just disturbingly horrifying. You see characters that look like they just stepped out of your deepest, darkest psychological nightmares. I used to like Dexter's Lab! And of course, there's adult oriented toons like Home Movies, Futurama, and Family Guy. Love King of the Hill and The Simpsons. They're all unique in their own ways.
