Playable SotN Maria.

Every game.

All the time.
lol

Anyway, I'd take Ninja Gaiden Black, then skin it with Castlevania characters >.>

Oh, and make teh story better, right now it's simple and its pretty much the same story retold 20 times. (exaggeration but meh)

I would fix Maria's jumping. It's a little awkward.

Forgot to mention CV3. It should totaly of featured Lisa's death in the plot. I mean Dracula was just a researcher of gods work, which is why he had the devil forge  masters. He wanted to learn more and it's pretty much what he'd been doing for the most part while consolidation his power base. But he didn't seem to hate humans, just god. Then Lisa dies, and his hatred of God is now extended to humans. how tragicly cool a plot is that? It makes him so much more human and downright sick as a being.

This is what I like about the series now.  It's not simple pure good vs. pure evil.  Dracula may be evil, but he isn't evil for evil's sake.  In other words, he actually has a reason for being evil.  I'm not condoning his actions, but I can identify with such feelings.

The character of Dracula has always been like that. It's in the novel. Even his real life counterpart Vlad Tepes became who he was due to his tragic life. We didn't need IGA for that cause it was alread there.

I was going to post a whole other topic but since I saw this one I thought this would be a great place to post the idea.

I would like to do the music from Castlevania I in a different fashion. I couldn't think of how you could improve on perfection and then a bell went off in my head. Try to hear Poison Mind done with Orchestra bells or a Glockenspeil as opposed to rolling keys on a keyboard or rapidly plucking strings on a sitar. It would sound so surreal IMO. Imagine if the same voices that were used for Into the Abyss from LOI was used for the level cleared bite. It would be perfect and it would sound I think better than Rondo or CV DX Chronicles.

I would love to hear the music from CVIV redone but if the same impact texture and feel can not be replicated then don't even bother. Bells and voices could probably be incorporated into some of the songs. Room of Close Assoshits would probably work as would Dracula Battle.

Other than that anything to make Castlevania II more challenging and less bash worthy by Mr. James Rolfe I would support.

I'll post more idears as I think of them.

Remember my name and know this. I have Suffolk Down Syndrome.

Stop me if you've heard this one.
A Belmont falls through a trap door into a square prison with no exits. After hitting three sides he smashes through the last one. Relieved and low on health he looks at the camera, smiles and says......"Pork chop?"
ULTIMATE FOURTH WALL BREAK!!! That just happened!!!

Simon's Quest

http://www.linnavaanijat.com/en/articles/one-more-time-simon/

http://foorumi.linnavaanijat.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=700&p=16184&hilit=purgatory#p16184

- Make the townspeple's clues actually matter
- Make exploration more logical
- Make fighting the bosses matter
- Introduce more abilities to be used through the body parts.
- The Castle part would be much longer.
- You could buy and use maps.
- Make the soundtrack more versatile. Each mansion and city would have its own theme.
- Time would advance when inside mansions.
- The day/night transition would be smoother.
- More characters instead of just faceless merchants and mysterious figures.
- Add more stuff to the story. Make connections between other characters and games.
- Update the game's graphics and everything else to modern standards.
- More abilities for Simon. Make his curse turn him partially demonic. Depending on the time used, the players actions would determine how the curse ultimately affects him (if at all). I you wait longer, you get cool vampiric and black magic abilities, but the ending gets worse. To finish the game quicker, the player would use magic and relics instead. This would allow Simon to lift the curse.
- Multiple endings with the canon one being Simon and Dracula dying and Simon's wife giving birth to his child before that.

Thanks (that is, if you meant me  ;D)

According to the recent scans, Gabriel was originally Simon. Makes me wonder if SQ Redux was actually considered.

CV3 - Replace instances of bosses being recycled with completely new bosses. The Cyclops can be fought three times in one playthrough IIRC.

Actually 2 times. It depends on the path you take. I've checked it out myself after playing it through four times just to see everybody's endings.
