It was funny to read about all the Japanese gamers that were saying things like "THIS is how a game should be made! This is Japanese development at it's best!" about Bionic Commando Rearmed.
Sorry no..it was made by Swedes.

They should collaborate and come up with something together. Why just one when you can have both working on it?

Way easier said than done. Collaborative creative projects are often a recipe for disaster unless both parties magically click.

I think NMH surpasses Mario Galaxy, but that's just personal taste. Both are phenomenal, though admittedly Galaxy is more original and fun.

I think if the series found some competent and extremely passionate Western developers (like Wayforward with Contra 4), then it could stand a good chance of being great.

I couldn't argue with them trying it that way. Maybe a one-shot deal sort of thing.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I think it could be really interesting, especially considering that CV is more popular over here than it is in Japan. The creators would be closer to and possibly be PART OF the existing fanbase making it a lot easier for us to get heard.

Absolutely. The fan base here has had a lot of issues with plenty of the past games (maybe not so much Ecclesia, we'll see how that pans out) but all of them fall on deaf ears because, hey, they're Japanese, they can't read our complaints.

For example, with Contra, they recognized that most American gamers were familiar with the two NES titles, and vaguely with the SNES game, but not so much the later titles, which veered in different directions. So, Contra 4 was much closer to the originals. That isn't EXACTLY the direction Castlevania needs to take, but it couldn't hurt to shake things up a bit.

Which is why there is something called Trial and error. I mean, from the looks of it now, it'll either be rehashes of SotN like games with different mods or a game that end up not looking so hot anyway.

If it doesn't work out, then try it with another group or so. If you know it won't work from the start then move thigns around. I'm making it sound simple, of course, but it won't hurt them all that much and would greatly benefit them if it works out.

The team that made God of War is American, and that series is phenomenal. Easily one of the best games on ps2.

I think cv would benefit from a little American input. The Japanese-infused story of AoS, I wasn't too fond of (Genya Arikado is a stupid name, even for a disguise). But the game itself is fine.

If CV turns into GoW, it'll just be a dead series to me. I hope that doesn't happen.

On the contrary, some elements from God of War will be highly beneficial to 3D CV, just like some elements from LoD will improve future games as well.

god of warvania would at least be plenty action filled, and it would also feel very castlevania with the platforming, in which you will die if you miss the platforms.

i enjoyed curse of darkness, but i swear it could be classified as an action rpg, which is far from what castlevania should be. unless it's a side story-ish game like that.

I really didn't like GoW, there might be some good stuff in it, true. I doubut any game is completely full of fail. But I definitely did not like it. If you do, then good for you. Me though, it isn't my cup of tea.

Shinobi had better platforming. So did many other games, I wouldn't just call it GoWarvania just from platforming...

The grand effect of it is what Castlevania is missing. Not in a cheesy 60's era mythology movie way, but in general. The level design is another thing GoW does really well. If they aren't going to pull ideas from the 64 games, they might as wel look at the GoW games.
