i remember reading a fan fiction that said that the villa was there first (used by the Oldrey family), and then the Castle basically appeared around it when it was resurrected.  i don't know if that's how it really happened, but it makes sense to me.

That does make sense. Though it wouldve sucked if the Oldry family got crushed by a giant Castle...
