So lets say they decide to release another chronicles game and that just so happen to be a remake of the 64 titles. If you are a fan of the two games then what you like done/improved/expanded upon in a remake and what system should it be released on?

I have nothing against the games, but the stage by stage linear type is not the type I like.  I prefer the metroidvania type.  That being said, if Konami made a chronicles version of one of the N64 titles, I say improve the graphics to the standard of the PS2 titles, if not better.  As for what system, I say PS2 or PS3.

Fix camera. Update graphics. Include the original games along with the Chronicles release like they did with Dracula X Chronicles. Have unlockable bonus content like art, promos, interviews, sound test, BGM test, etc.

um, let you move around and whip things in first person?

also, expand Henry's game to use all stages.  i think it'd be fun if they somewhat randomized the locations of the children and the levels that they're hidden in so that you could replay it and never quite know for sure where they'll be.

have a stage select mode, but let characters who normally don't play that stage play them using it.  i have great memories using cheat devices in order to do that.  while you're at it, let you choose which layout you want to play for a stage (LoD version or original version) while still using the LoD versions of the characters.

if they don't do an all out next-gen graphical remake, at least make the enhanced graphics mode look better.

i don't ever want to do the Mandragora/Magical Nitro thing again (I tend to stop playing when I get to that point in a replay).  at least offer some kind of secret shortcut that allows you to bypass the most difficult part of that challenge.

make a version of Cornell more of a melee fighter as it seems he was originally meant to be.  give him the dang ability to turn off his wolf powers.  heck, for giggles, let his wolf form play much the same as he did in Judgment (though he can lose the armor).

speaking of Judgment, clear up the storyline to make it easier to reconcile the two games.

bring in a full mode for Coller and come up with some neat way to make his game different than Henry and explain the relationship between him and the Gardener.  at the very least, offer him as an "Alternate Costume" for Henry.

for super giggles, let you play the game through as Charles Vincent.

Fix the camera, update the graphics, make it darker and more foreboding, fix the targeting and movement of the characters as the jumping was atrocious (we are playing Castlevania not hop-scotch).

Remember my name and know this. I have Suffolk Down Syndrome.

Stop me if you've heard this one.

Camera's fine in LoD (you can control it with the D-Pad).
Honestly it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

However, in CV64 it did need adjusting at some somewhat crucial times.

I just want better graphics. I usually don't give a damn about such trivial things, but there's something about the entire N64 catalogue of games that make my eyes bleed. Visually, I prefer just about everything that came before and after it. The games were so blurry and lacked detail, more so than many Playstation and Saturn games. The only exception here is Super Mario 64 (and a few others from Nintendo and Rare) which looked clean, if somewhat primitive by todays standards.

I would love to experience Legacy of Darkness with PS2-ish grafix. There's probably a cool game in there somewhere.

Reinhardt77 pretty much summed up for me what would be a perfect Chronicles title - even though it would be too awesome to come true.

Yes i dont think they would go quite to that extent but it would be a great idea.

you know,if they ever were going to bother modernizing the graphics for this set of games, i'd rather they do what they did when they "upgraded" Castlevania 64 to Legacy of Darkness - keep the basic concept of the levels in tact and asthetics, rearranged music, but rearrange the levels to be new.  they could then have the original games as an unlockable like DXC had, with maybe only slightly improved graphics with all those bonuses like level selects.  DXC and Chronicles were mostly identical in layouts to the original, but that worked because the games had never been released outside of Japan.  I don't really need to replay the exact same levels again, but I want them oozing with familiarity.

of course, for people who haven't played it already or won't because of its aged graphics, a perfect remake would be nice.

One thing I didn't like about the games was how the levels progressed. Example of this would be how after you exit the watch tower you end up infront of a gloomy villa, now dont get me wrong the villa is one of my favorite stages. The music is haunting, the fact the roses were watered with blood was a morbid idea, and the over set up of it was quite wonderful but I just see how it fits as being apart of a castle at least not when you are walking right through the middle of it. I think this where the alternate paths idea would come in handy. I know there were exclusive levels for schnieder and carrie but if you include the alternate paths idea then you could use any character on any level thus increase the replay value slightly.

i remember reading a fan fiction that said that the villa was there first (used by the Oldrey family), and then the Castle basically appeared around it when it was resurrected.  i don't know if that's how it really happened, but it makes sense to me.
