*shakes head* Sorry. Just not seeing it, bro. To mine ears it just drones on, those same erratic notes on the piano sounding more like they're being played by someone suffering from a combination of boredom, creative block and the stress of a tight deadline (not so sure these are the mental problems that you speak of). It really just sounds like filler to me. In terms of Yamane-san's own repertoire, "Aria of Nightmare" from LoI did a much better job of creating a bizarre, creepy atmosphere of unease with its dissonant notes and chilling ambience. Heck, even "Rainbow Cemetery" in SotN has more of an unsettling sound, bolstered by the fact that it actually builds. "Abandoned Pit" remains the skip/mute point of the OST for me.

Personally I feel that its being on a soundtrack with so much variety in composition is what makes it fall flat. But hey, gems they all can not be.
