Your criticisms, Flame and JiPrime, are well founded. However I will address them as follows.
If I were to run such a game, I would use a greatly simplified version of the rules which I made, I would be handling all dice rolls through an automated dice roller, and would be calling upon the castlevania enemies we all love to hate, the items we've worked hard to get, and the locals (complete with their music), for the setting.
Essentially a players responsibility would be to maintain a text document which states clearly what their statistics, items, and abilities are, and to decide where they go and what they do. The game uses very simple, multipurpose statistics.
HP - run out of this and your dead.
Soul - Run out of this and your out of magic use.
Mysticism - rules how well you use and resist magic, mind control, and other 'mystical' stuff
Fortitude - rules how hard you hit, how much hp you have, how resistant you are to poison, etc
Willpower - rules how focused you are, how resistant you are to fear and intimidation, how well you both resist and use curse inducing abilities, and etc.
Intellect - rules how smart and savvy you are, whether its learning by experience or academic learning
Luck - rules rare drops, how often you dodge, how often you land critical blows, how often you notice cracked walls, etc
-All- dice rolling, -all- calculations, and -all- book work would be done by me, and, since I have a responsibility to the players, would be handled in a prompt and efficient manner.

The 'relics of dracula', which are his surviving body parts, can be equipped and used by this class, but it requires removal and replacement of your own body-part, similar to the hand and eye of Vecna.
I'm fully capable of making it truly epic and would wish to, but no story can be complete without the players. I have the documents on my desktop and so they would always be easily accessible to me. Note however that this takes place in a future time period, and so, while virtually all the weapons, armors, and items from the CV games are around, you could break open a cracked wall and find an oldschool ray gun or buy a defib kit from a merchant.
Talk to me. I'm game to do this if there is a genuine interest in it and I'm serious about making my storylines truly epic and fun.
