FEZ is currently an XBLA only game, but I could easily see it coming to other platforms. So far I've only played the demo, but I plan on getting it. For $10, it seems worth it.

If you can, try the demo out, it's extremely fun. The game really invokes a feeling of wonder and calmness, like sitting by the sea shore. This is due to the simplistic beauty of the visuals and animation, and the thus far excellent soundtrack. Sounds like 80's synth, but with some 8-bit NES thrown in. Lots of little details to look at, like all the harmless little animals moving about, clouds casting soft shadows, and the water reflections really make the 2D planes come alive.

Here's a link to a free track on the devs website which I found particularly beautiful...

I know, sucks.

From what I've read, this has been a long time coming too, which must be frustrating to say the least. But they're an indie dev, so I don't see why they wouldn't at least release this on the PC as well.

Whatever the case, here's hoping those of you with PS3's get to play it.

Well, after having my wife play the demo, she had to have it (the game I mean). So, I just wanted to add our thoughts on the game thus far.

We're currently about 25% into the game, and we both love it. The term "puzzle platformer" perfectly describes FEZ, as most of the puzzles require some platforming skills.  As for games it reminds me off, it feels like a mix between 'The Goonies 2', and 'Alex Kidd in High-Tech World' (massive nerd points if you know that game).

As mentioned before, the art style and music are both superb. The soundtrack will be released on April 20th, and can be had for only $5! Well worth it imo.

In case you're wondering, there are different areas in the game which have different environments. Aside from the soothing sunny areas we've been to, we have also found lush forests, and even a dark and gloomy rainy world with lightening and thunder. The rainy world even had a Castlevania feel to it, with cross gravestones and whatnot.

If you get a chance to play this, do so. Games like this need to be supported.
