PSP Go halp plz

So, I just updated my PSP Go's firmware to the latest (and presumably final) release. Mostly because on the old CFW I was running, it had started to shut down randomly without any warning. I had hoped that it was a firmware bug (as that can occasionally happen with CFW, as I understand), and that switching back to official firmware might alleviate the problem.

It did not. The shut downs occur less frequently, but not by much, and it is REALLY frustrating to be fighting Jedah in Darkstalkers Chronicle only to have my system crap out on me.

So it does not seem to be a firmware issue, or at least an issue unique to a certain firmware.

If this is a hardware issue, I am well and truly screwed, being the broke guy I am.

Ideas? Suggestions?

sounds like a hardware problem. I picked up my Go bout a month ago at a place that refurbs stuff and sells it and they had 2. A white and a black. I was gonna get the white one but I had em plug it (battery was dead) so I could check it out and it kept turning off too while I was just tryin to check out its settings and stuff. I was like "nope not touchin this one"

People actually bought the PSP Go? This is baffling. What part of the PSP Go sounded like a good purchase decision?

Also, it sounds like it's overheating. It's broke, send it back for repair. No, wait, sell it for parts on eBay (people will buy it), then get a better PSP model.

I like my go! Granted its cfw and has remotejoylite so I play it on my pc with my 360 controller but still... its got about 15g of built in storage which is nice specially for cfw. And its so easy to cfw its not even funny. I got mine for 80$ the only downside is if you actually want more storage its a kinda useless card type

Oh, wait, you're right. No one is actually buying UMD games on a PSP. Just pirate and go. I forgot about that. Yeah, that kinda makes sense when you think about it. It does have the most internal space for isos and emulators.

The part where I load CFW on it and a bunch of pirated Japanese games and play them for free.

Like hell I'm buying my whole library twice.

Though I now will be getting a new PSP-3000 (my last one has a shattered UMD tray) and a 32GB memory stick, allowing me same-same functionality, plus my legit UMD games and a bigger screen.

All around win.
