Yeah, I've heard Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge is a lot better than The Castlevania Adventure. I also heard that it's a lot easier too though. I'm looking for something really hard to play, and The Castlevania Adventure was a good challenge. I was actually thinking of picking up Legends because it looks a lot harder than Belmont's Revenge, but everyone says it's the worst Castlevania game ever. Haha, too bad Adventure is so short. I actually just beat the last difficulty setting AGAIN between when I typed the last post and when I'm typing this.

Legends is pretty bad. I gave it a chance and wanted to like it, but it's bad.

Adventure on the other hand isn't at all. I think most of he people who hate it are people who emulated it, played half the first stage and gave up because they could be bothered to give it a chance.

Maybe it's just because I bought an actual copy of the game when it came out, but I love it. The stage design is a bit better than in Belmont's Revenge (although BR stages are pretty great) and the only thing I'd say sucks about Adventure is the downgrading whip thing. I think if they'd saved that for the second run thru it would have made the game a little more manageable.

Yeah, losing upgrades gets annoying, but then you really have to work hard on not getting hit, which helps in the fifth difficulty if you're obsessed enough to get that far.

Its alright but by far the worst in the series, but I can't complain considering I got it for 6 cents off eBay. I suppose it also doubles as a tranquilizer.

My own personal reason for disliking this game is so simple compared to many of these reasons...the game is boring and never was fun because, as someone said earlier, it slowed itself down, very, very noticeably.

The second release for gameboy was awesome man, the music the dificulty, the history... about the first one, i just hated that u couldn't use any subweapon(like Sonyavania)
But man is not the worse thing about Castlevanias...*cough* jonny boy *cough* Judgement *cough*

Obviusly harder D:!! lol jk I just mentioned that CvAdventure II has a nice difficulty too

Anycase Cv Adventure was released too early D: was a bad movement from konami... they fixed that in the second and the GBC version but i would liked to use both subweapons axe and cross in same game
