I think it would kind of suck if they restarted the timeline or did an alternate universe deal. Sort of like what happened in Gundam, if anyone's a fan. The original series and the series that occur in the same timeline (Universal Century) are great, but everything else pretty much sucks (except I like Wing too).

Well, he spent years in the Crusades. Several years of warfare and killing people will put you pretty close to Death :P More likely though, he found the Crimson Stone first or whatever that trinket was and that lead Death to him.
