I really want them to up the ante with the storytelling. Whatever they do, it needs good writing, foreshadowing, intrigue, recurring bosses and the like.

It should show us a villain 3 hours before we put it down. Build anticipation on characters, allow for them to grow, bring in some centuries spanning undead mumbo-jumbo and all that.

Once again, imagine what Kojima could do in an environment where any crazy idea he has can be perfectly justified and then built 3 encyclopedias of backstory on.

This completely. I thought the story was good, but it could have been much better. It wasn't woven into the game so much as it was presented in a bunch of isolated cutscenes. The cutscenes did their job, but the structure made the plot seem very compartmentalized, and led to things like The Lord of Death being completely overshadowed at the end of the game.

In regards to the camera complaints, if they didn't have a fixed camera, the 360 probably would have never gotten the game.
