I've posted this here a week ago.

The list doesn't mean no Castlevania. It just the line-up, announcements don't end in line-up lists guys.

Excited? *shakes head*

I'll give it to Iga though, he can still look happy in public.

IGA is getting demoted, Mercury is going  to extinguish Castlevania, once and for all......but at least, we have some hilarious comments!!!
Extinguish just for you. For others series will continue to exist with the new installations.

As for TGS I think that maybe they will just announce new game, but it will not be shown for some time. Given the lack of any reliable information about the anniversary title as of now, I believe even if it will exist, it will be released much later than anniversary date.

As other said, they can still announce things not planed yet.

Even if they don't announce anyhting CV-related, the series will never die to me.

With only a handful of exceptions, Castlevania has been in dire straits long before Mercurysteam was given the reins.

Naming a beetle as porsche, isn't my kind of stimulation.....if others like it, then go on and pretend that you are driving a porsche(only in name)!!!

I won't disagree, but it's supposed that it was handed over to Mercury for a better future of the series and not to become a clone of other games with only the names kept from the previous games.

Castlevania belongs to MercurySteam now. We now must get used to them releasing a new game every 2-3 years with nothing in between. Konami doesn't believe in 2D Castlevania anymore. IGA now works on stuff like "Leedmees" & puzzle games for xbox. Forget 25 years of Castlevania, cuz a new era has begun.

Anyone else as excited as I am?

Excited? Well, I suppose you could say that were there a clock present in my pants, it would be high noon about now.

I hope that at least the next 10 Cv games all take place within the LoS universe.

Boy I sure can't wait to get me some more LoS!

So very true. As far as I heard, OoE was a step in the right direction, but with that disaster called Judgment, it seems like things have not looked good for the series.

And I know that there was ReBirth afterwards. However, I heard fans complain about the recycled sprites, but I'd still like to play it, though.

Back on topic, I'm still clinging to this bit of hope that Konami has more unannounced titles to be shown at TGS this year (hopefully Castlevania related), so I wouldn't get all mopey just yet.

Interesting that Namco Bandai's steering clear from those waters. They've been listening to their fans, especially regarding the Tales series, which most of the West has been getting the shaft for the longest time. Still, I'm kinda sour about what they did to Splatterhouse. If there was any old series that deserved a great revival, it was that one. But yeah, Namco Bandai and Sega seem to be steering clear(funny considering how Sonic Generations looks, and how the Sonic series couldn't shake the ever infamous "Sonic Cycle").
