Okay, so most of you will be in the mindset that mgs 1,2 and 3 were a trilogy on their own.
Similarities include no duckwalking, fixed camera and generally similar gameplay.
Soooo which do you think is the best of the three?

No there definitely was an avatar of Trollface at one time, the guy isn't imagining things.

Also keep this thread on topic, if it isn't by the time I wake up for work tomorrow afternoon, I'll close it.

In an on-topic post (how bout dat):

I personally prefer Metal Gear Solid 2 over the other two. The game is just amazing in every way, to me. I've played through it 200 times, and I'll play through it 200 more.

I do like the rotatable camera they added in MGS3: Subsistence, though. And the crouch walk from Peace Walker. Or all the new additions they're adding in later games.
Currently Playing: Resident Evil 2 [N64]
Games Beaten This Year (2020): 20 Games

Metal Gear Solid 3 is the only title I take no issue with on any grounds.

I'm not a fan of the dated sneaking mechanics of MGS1.
I don't like the whole bit about Otacon's affair with his stepmother in MGS2 (that was just creepy).
I don't like MGS4's Tits n' Ass fixation (Big Mama's boobs and Old Snake's ass should never have been witnessed, and the B&B corps cutscenes feature more TNA than any other part of the game)
And I really don't approve of the sexualization of Paz in Peace Walker, especially the whole Date with Paz sub-mission, which I again found creepy.

MGS3 is amazing though, and is the absolutely perfect Metal Gear experience. If the HD version of 3 is ever released as a stand-alone on the PSN, I'll snag that faster than a pizza at a weight watcher's convention
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

So, remember when I said this? Of course you do. It's right there.

Apparently, MGS2 and MGS3's HD rereleases are seeing individual release on the American PSN come Tuesday.

I will be snapping up MGS3 HD as promised. Anyone else buying?
