I've been hearing some rumbling through the grapevine regarding both a 3DS Castlevania and the LoS sequel that I found interesting  but since it's a rumor and I can no longer find the source, Im sure it was probably fan speculation but these days who knows.

Otomedius, there's only one thing I have to say about that, it's not Gradius (nor Parodius). I refuse to count that crap as anything, so it's still not Gradius, this one's for the loli crowd. I speak of Gradius 6, not that other garbage.

I too want my Gradius 6 complete with Moai heads :(

If I were to put money on it, I'd guess we won't hear any info until around E3. Even then, it will probably be a 30-second teaser trailer for LoS2, revealing next to nothing about the game.  :-\

I'd also put money on the Metal Gear franchise being front-and-center again. Then I'd have, like, all this monies.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

REVENGEANCE IS NOT METAL GEAR. /elitist /offtopic

You're also assuming we'll even GET a trailer while Revengeance is in development.

More than likely, we'll get a passing "oh hey, we're totally making Lords of Shadow 2... WHOA! LOOK AT RAIDEN BE BADASS!!! CHECK THAT SHIT OUT!"

How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

I wasn't even referring to the Raiden game. Besides, I was joking. Kind of...

Sorry. Seeing as that's the only "Metal Gear" game that's actively in development, I kind of assumed that was what you meant. From what I understand, Snake Eater 3D is functionally done, or very close to it.

But that's enough Metal Gear for a Castlevania thread.

Metal Gear talk ends right about nnnnnnn now!

Here's my prediction on what's gonna happen. At E3 Konami will reveal a new 3DS Castlevania and will be a Metroidvania similar to Order of Ecclesia BUT it will be the sequel to Lords of Shadow and it will be developed by Mercurysteam. Then Konami will reveal another Castlevania game, which will be another sequel to Lords of Shadow and will take place after the epilogue and will be a full adventure type game with a connected world similar to Arkham City or Darksiders. Both game's will have traditional Castlevania enemies and characters but slightly re imagined *coughAlucardcough*

well that's my prediction but it would be nice if it was all true. BTW im based this all off of two unannounced projects Cox mentioned his team is working on and Mercurysteam's interest in the 3DS.

Oh and as usual , the fandom will be enraged that Lords of Shadow got two sequel's.

Did it have something to do with it being an in-between sequel to LoS1 and LoS2?

EDIT: Reading your post sounds like you heard the same thing.

I hope the rumors of there being a new Belmont clan are true, but I wouldn't mind Alucard playing like a hybrid Belmont either.

I honestly don't expect an announcement for more than one game. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think MercurySteam's other project is Castlevania-related at all.

Everyone keeps forgetting the Contra reboot that's due too. We got a simple teaser and nothing else.

I suspect the release of new hardware is causing the delay at this point.

"Devoted" Castlevania fans certainly don't want to.

Here's my prediction on what's gonna happen...
Anyway, I would to see that happen. Though I believe, that Castlevania will receive only one game for PS3 / XBox 360. Though it would be interesting to see, if Konami really have any plans for CV on 3DS.

Is this directed at me? I already said I was joking.
