Dudes, check out this totally radical game.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Official Trailer

If that doesn't sell you, then at least try 15 minutes of the game

Video Game Trailers - 15 Minutes of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Gameplay | No Commentary 【HD】

Ok, detail time. This is a 15 buck Stand-Alone game based on Farcry 3. It uses it's engine and gameplay, but you don't need the actual Farcry 3 to play it.

It's an 80's lovefest of cliches and one liners, movie references, and basically, the kind of stuff Duke Nukem Forever should have been, that takes place in the distant future of 2007.

If Sgt. Rex Power Colt looks familiar to you, that's also because he's played by Michael Biehn. That's right, the guy who played Reese in Terminator.

No seriously though. Try this. It's been out since the beginning of May, so it's not exactly new. But fuck I don't care. Deserves a topic.

I love the concept behind this, love the setting, atmosphere, art direction and music. Just don't like FPS(I never got a hold of FPS controls... EVER).

It's in the running for my favorite downloadable GOTY.

More developers need to dick around and just make a fun video game instead of reaching for that AAA star.

IMO, FPS work best on a computer. I can't get used to FPS controls on a console (unless it's the Wii with it's motion controls) Using a Mouse to aim works perfectly.

This. Does hurt there's the cool retro neon 80s style on overload with FC3:BD. I actually would love more designers to explore this route, maybe do some more 80s-esque titles, or even 70s-esque Grindhouse-style. I think since I first listened to the OST of FC3:BD, I became turned on by Power Glove, and in turn, it turned me on to the scene I never knew existed, the whole Retrowave/Synthwave music genre. Listening to that stuff, it's almost like being transported back to the 80s! :)
