Last Battle - a Genesis beat em up with no continues, 1 life, but man when your shirt rips off and you punch at lightning speed, its really cool

Megaman X7 - I try to deny it's terribleness for a small time to try to beat it.... still no avail.

(retired) Dark Souls 1+2, I loved Demon's souls, but man Dark souls' difficulty isn't hard, it's cheap, the broken hit-boxes speak for themselves. still fun to play at times.

Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis) - This game really isn't too horrible, it's soundtrack alone was so good that tracks were re-used in sonic adventure. which is the main reason I play it time to time.

X-Kaliber 2097 - Pretty medicre platformer with broken bossfights, but dat setting and dat music, it's my most guilty pleasure

That's actually a censored palette swap of a Hokuto No Ken/Fist of the North Star game. In the original version the bad guys exploded into gore instead of hilariously freezing and flying off the screen.

As for me well, I like the game "Phantom Fighter" on the NES even though it's objectively pretty terrible. It's one boring mini-game stretched out, with maybe a whole 2 or 3 songs in the entire soundtrack. But there's something about it I find hypnotic. Funnily enough it's also a licensed game that had the license dropped in the US. I'm pretty sure in Japan it tied in with the "Mr. Vampire" series of Jiang-Shi films.

I don't know if the copy protection trivia questions, which don't work at all since you can re-answer the 3 or 4 questions as many times as you like without penalty, were changed outside the US. But at least in the US English version some of the questions are rather quaint these days. I remember one of them was "What's the name of George Bush's dog?"

Damn dude, I'm kind of impressed you like it. I thought Sonic Spinball was better.

Though to be fair 3D Blast's graphics at the time were pretty killer.

Deadly Towers is great, seriously. The difficulty curve is ridiculous, but it was a really special and ambitious game. I also like Hydlide so maybe there is something wrong with me, though!

Actually, I have to agree that it's great. It just has a bad reputation. The dungeon was a bit overkill, though...they went nuts with that part, and could've really made it less vast.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.
