Steam Winter Sale is finally over

Our wallets can rest from the vigorous and only very slightly consensual lovemaking Gaben and his Steamchild have made to them. At least until summer.

Had to wait until the last freaking 6 hours of the Winter Sale to pick up my games for this season, but the money finally came through and I did it! (Modestly though).

I picked up:
  • SiN Episodes: Emergence
  • Tomb Raider: Legend
  • Tomb Raider: Anniversary
  • Tomb Raider: Underworld
  • Tomb Raider 2013 GOTY Edition
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
  • Bastion Soundtrack Edition
  • Far Cry
  • ABZU
  • Just Cause 3 XL

Mostly games I enjoyed in my time as a Console Peasant that were on sale (and SiN Episodes Emergence I owned on disk once upon a time for an ancient laptop that is no more) and a few others (the first Far Cry, Just Cause 3) that I've heard great things about that were markedly cheaper than normal. Also: I might be a fan of Tomb Raider games since the olden days (I DO NOT MISS THE TANK CONTROLS THOUGH).

Kills me that I had to pull punches, but with my GTX 1080 build finally constructed in December and Christmas just passed, money was tightish.

What all did you get?
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

I got nothing because I was away for the most part. I'm also saving up to buy a Core i7, another GTX 950 so I can SLI, and another 8GB of RAM.
UPON THE COMPLETION OF ITS STATEMENT, THE BLOOD MONKEY LEAPS TOWARDS YOU, BARING TEETH. IT IS TOO LATE FOR YOU.

Ended up getting some last minute buys, such as:
  • Gun Metal
  • Witch Bot Meglilo
  • Mighty No. 9
  • River City Super Sports Challenge
  • Saturday Morning RPG
  • EDF 4.1
  • Eschatos
  • Judgement Silversword
  • QP Shooting Dangerous
  • Strania - The Stella Machina

All of them I've heard of beforehand, and some of them plucked from my wishlist.  Have yet to go through the majority of these titles let alone the vast majority of my Steam library, but have gone through Gun Metal and am currently playing Saturday Morning RPG (really fun and addicting game btw).

Unfortunately, all I managed to grab was FF14 and its expansion. Wanted to grab more but just didn't have it in my budget.
