When this got sidetracked to Yu-Gi-Oh. I was laughing....

There are some people here who play that.

Yup! But I think it is best that the banter stop already.

OK. Quick question. What is your opinion on changing Astarte from PoR with Eqyptian god Monsters (Osiris, Obelisk and Ra) from Yu-Gi-Oh?

Also, there is a entire forum for non-Castlevania talk so I'd rather go ant talk Yu-Gi-Oh there.

I actually didn't mind Astarte in PoR. She's a sexy warrior goddess.
But if you want to change it to the YuGiOh god monsters, it's fine.
Again, I'm indifferent.

Completely unnecessary, but they've came up with worse ideas.

Astarte isn't the best boss creature they've ever came up with, but there's nothing horrible about her either.

if the people working on Castlevania decided to put a YugiOh monster in the game as a boss, I wouldn't care much about that either one way or another.

However if you're going to talk about replacing a boss with something, there are far better places to find monsters than Yugioh.  I'm still dyinng for a pumpkin tossing headless horseman boss myself.

I havent played the first CVJ, even so given the flack its received I say yes. But make it a quality 2D fighter or a really good 3D title. Given the fact that fighting games are glorified CV boss fights its only right CV a excellent fighting
game in the lineup.

A Belmont falls through a trap door into a square prison with no exits. After hitting three sides he smashes through the last one. Relieved and low on health he looks at the camera, smiles and says......"Pork chop?"
ULTIMATE FOURTH WALL BREAK!!! That just happened!!!

Well the four horsemen are Death, War, Pestilence, and Famine (you could have a CV gauntlet of these four like the three combatants in SCV4). The headless horseman is a Hessian mercenary whom lost his head due to canon fire in the revolutionary war. Maybe he'd be haunting a cemetery or something still trying to find his head.

Maybe Heady got into a high-stakes Undead Horseman poker game and one of the Four lost his seat in a bet?

Maybe he was one of the mob, but felt bad for his horse so he put his own head in someone's bed.

LOL! There's no way Daredevil (the Hessian's horse) would even remotely allow the mafia to take his head...without paying for it. And I'm sure the cost is quite high, even for the mob.

In the Sleepy Hollow TV series (which i really like) the headless Horseman IS one of the four horsemen.
