Any word on the CV figures?

NECA said that they were going to (re)release them after they got recalled (I could have swore they said late April/early May), but they still haven't shown up in stores.

So is there any news?  ???

They recalled the figures? Why? D:

Apparently they weren't of very high quality, so they recalled them from retailers to fix the errors and whatnot.

Some online retailers sold the ones they had, but the figures never hit stores.

I've been keeping a look out myself. I seem to remember them saying they would be out in late May/early June. Not sure where you live, but in my neck of the woods toys usually hit the stores about one to two months later than they're supposed to street release, so I'm expecting to see them mid-July or August.
Of course, given NECA's apparent antipathy towards the line (they've all but said they want nothing more to do with the property) it really wouldn't shock me to see them abandon the figures entirely. Those that have already managed to get their hands on some should be so lucky: Those badly painted and disappointingly sculpted figures could gain some collector value real quick, especially if no other toymaker picks up on the franchise in the future.
If I forgot "everything I knew about Castlevania" I certainly wouldn't be excited about a new one coming out now would I?

Speaking of the figures, does anyone know if they're going to release a series two? Any news on that?

I did a thread on that a while ago:

August? What's taking them so long? They were released a while ago.

After reading this I am so glad my four came.

I like them actually.  It would be nice to have a Trevor and Leon figure though too.

Yes, that's true. I would also like a Trevor figure, but more than a Leon figure. Ideally, for me, another set(which we are never getting  ???) would consist of Trevor, Death, Maria and Joachim.

No... they just said that they probably won't do a series 2.  But it all depends on how much the figures sell when they actually do hit shelves.

Tack Leon onto to that set, and I'd be happy :)

I think Trevor would be a great figure to have to be honest.
