It's just that any language other than Japanese ISN'T JAPANESE [to the japs], and is thus inherently remarkably inferior by comparison. Just like anything (or anyone) else that isn't Japanese is inferior to something, or someone, that is.

That's what they're brought up to believe, even if they're usually just polite enough that most of them wouldn't admit it to foreigners.

This is pretty much true. I hope I'm not offending anyone by saying this, but Japan is one of the most self-ascribed super egos in the world. They just don't act on it so much as think it.

But, unlike the U.S. governement, at least they're not hurting anyone with it.
