Yeah i guess that it will be an add on coz as someone said earlier it was hardly progressing when it was first cancelled so if i can guess konami then it might be added to a future CV game  with much more action then intended, or as i say much more action that was intended for Resurrection.

I'm glad it was canceled. It may have been nice to see another 3D game like 64, but with that ridiculous story it deserved to be trashed

Or perhaps whatever is left will be released as a WiiWare title? Unlikely, I know, but consider the possiblities!
That was my thought at the beginning. But, yeah, it's kinda unlikely.

OMG! You just HAD to remind me of that god-aweful "time traveling" story, didn't you? Ok, me is glad it got cancelled. Nevertheless, I would still like to see. It looked like a creepy cool 3D CV, that reminded me of an N64 title called "Nightmare Creatures". Anybody know what I'm talking about?

If you would factor in St.Germaine somewhere (or someone like him), it might not be such a ridiculous plot.

However, if you watched the intro, it's mostly tasteless American crap. Could be due to the fact it was so early though.

i heard it was discontinued because it was being developed by konami of america without konami of japan's approval, or they got into some sort of disagreement.

That's not what the Dungeon says, at least from what I remember.

hmm I think this small Q & A can be used to conclude that the game was almost done and that Japan was aware of it's development.

Q. How far along was the game before Konami finally pull the plug? Approximately how complete was it?

A. Pretty far, we had the game was actually on a very good track, we were making great progress. It was really a matter of balancing and tweaking and putting it all together. We had a working version of the game, that still needed to be optimized, physics to be finalized, and additional art designs. When the game was cancelled, it was eventually sent back to Japan so they could look at it for reference for future 3D Castlevanias.

Yeah, I'm glad she doesn't exist anymore on the official timeline.  Besides, if she still was, it would create a plot hole.  Think about it.  In SotN, Shaft says that that vampire hunters including the Belmonts defeated evil with "holy" power.  However, Castlevania Legends put that into question.  I mean originally Sonya was suppose to be the first Belmont to kill Dracula, but based on what I know, Sonya had abilities simular to Soma Cruz from the sorrow games, which would make her powers dark.  Plus, there are rumors that she and Alucard had a child together.  So that would further make the case that the Belmont power was drawn from darkness even though that they used "holy" attacks.  In my opinion, Sonya's existance through whole Castlevania story into chaos.  It's a good thing that Sonya and her game are not apart of the timeline.  I think that the concepts of Sonya Belmont and the canceled game, Castlevania Resurrection, should be put aside and never used again.

Even had Resurrection been a good playable game, I think the concept was just plain stupid. First of all, yeah, get rid of Sonia entirely from the game. Hell, get rid of Victor as well. NO TIME TRAVELLING. Pick an era to set it in and STICK to it! As it was, IGA was treading that line with Saint Germain, though he managed not to fuddle much up(Germain still basically was just an observer of time). But to think, Sonia Belmont, the "Origin to the Belmont Legacy" would, after Legends, be wisked away through time for another adventure is pretty idiotic! And Victor "Tim Curry" Belmont goes "Let's do the Time Warp AGAINNNN!".

Yeah. The very idea of Sonia in the story just really spoiled it. I think Resurrection was dumped fairly and justly annd.. it deserved it.

I'm being a meanie. :P
