My thoughts exactly and any tier bullshit thats made out of this game I will prove wrong. Not only that, tiers are for morons.

Howdy, first post here! Love this site (and forum...I hope.)

The only thing I'm remotely hoping for is they make one of the characters look like L (Probably Grant.). If he did Light, Misa, and Near...why not? Obata made goofy designs showing his lack of originality as it is, he might as well be funny about it.

I imagine it'll be fun in a mediocre way, akin to the Godzilla fighting games.

I don't think the game will be a good game for tourneys and scoreboards. IGA himself said screw balance and good solid competitive fairness. Hes saying its not a fighting game, but rather a versus action game. That's just a huge cop out, cause the game IS a fighting game, right down to the lifebars and the "FIGHT" and "K.O." interface. Hes only saying it so he can get away with a completely unbalanced mess of a fighter.

Im not happy with most of Obata's designs, but when i see them ingame they look so much better.

Simon looks like a manwhore in his design, but ingame he looks alright. But what the hell is up w/ the shorts? No Castlevania character wears shorts and looks good with them. Yes I know Ayami Kojima drew Simon w/ shorts as well, but she draws them SO much better, and for some odd reason they look alright, but Obata basicly drew Light Yagami w/ bicycle shorts and a whip.

And Death looks like the spider badguy from lost in space. i hate how he doesn't have his cloak, he does in ALL of his games, so this one he's naked and I hate it.

However, i find Aeon to be kinda cool, and I think we'll find out that he's like St. Germain (btw he needs to be in another game)

Alucard looks good, imo, and Dracula looks ok. Dracula is better than the PoR version as well as DXC, so no complaints there.

Next is Eric Lacarde, he looks like some young kid, I mean he doesn't look bad, except it just doesn't look like Lacarde. TBH, I was hoping for Lacarde to look more like Wind, but the kid is like having the fat 8 year-old Maria, it just doesn't fit.

Trevor is in the game and he has an eye-patch. A FREAKING EYE-PATCH! DO YOU REMEBER HIM HAVING AN EYEPATCH IN THE GAMES BECAUSE I SURE DON'T, AND THAT'S BECAUSE HE NEVER DID!!! So both Lacarde and Trevor look like some Soul Calibur knock offs.

Gameplay looks good though, and I can see it being lots of fun despite your wanting to play it with your eyes closed.

But he has a scar in Curse of Darkness, so at some point in time that wound across his eye was probably fresh and bleeding, hence the eye-patch. Or maybe he lost his eye sometime after CoD. Who knows.

Yeah that's right and despite the new designs, I will still get this game it will most likely be great enough. I appreciate Konami making this and will support it because it's Castlevania.

Wow I can't believe people were worried about Ecclesia, from the moment I first saw it I fell in love...what's not to like?

Same goes with this one. It's Castlevania; I love the characters, I love the world, give me any game done by caring developers and I will find something to warrant it's worth. IGA wouldn't call this one in... sure it may not be his ideal game scenario, but he has enough respect for the series to not make a crappy game.
