I figured it would be a good idea the have some friendly competition. You can post your boss rush mode records for any Castlevania game and compete. I'll put mine in later because I'm lazy!

Some cheats with some moves allow you to totally shatter the records for some games.  Just letting you know that.  Perhaps you should mention that these should be as fair as possible.

Nah, I only ask that if you cheat, say so and tell us precisely HOW you cheated so I can try too, haha!

Okay, here we go!

Harmony of Dissonance:
Record - 15:23:20
Character - Simon Belmont
Cheated - Depending on whether you consider using Simon Belmont a cheat! I played fair and didn't skip any bosses, but Simon is a cheat player!

Aria of Sorrow:
Record - 5:26:61
Character - Soma
Cheated - No, I did not cheat at all. If someone could tell me how to cheat in this game's boss rush, please do because I need to unlock rare items! Thanks!

cheating in aos:

equip red minotaur, lubicant, black panther and eat a rotten food to get your life down to 1. the red minotaur will slaughter everything when boosted with lubicant which gives you more power the less life you have, and black panther will go through the rooms fast.

But that's not taking advantage of a glitch right? So technically it's not cheating, it's using a defect in the games difficulty control to your advantage.  ;D

Yes, I agree. I wouldn't consider that cheating, just a clever combination of souls. However, it DID get me a new score! ;D

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow:
Score - 4:54:00
Character - Soma
Cheated - Nope, I played fair and square (with ANTRAXX's help!)

However, I didn't have the red minotaur soul, but once I got it, I found that your plan didn't work very well, because I'm not good at evasion, so I only used the red minotaur occasionally, as well as the black panther and headhunter. Still, thanks for the tip AND my new laser gun!
 ;D

Uh, actually its easier to use action replay, rather than do it "the right way"...

You may kill me for not knowing, but what's action replay? Is it a cheat thing, like a gameshark? Again, feel free to kill me if it's something really obvious I should know about. I would appreciate it if you would kill me without inducing any large or unnecessary amount of pain. Thank you.

You're welcome.

Yes, Action Replay is only one of the most famous cheating modules/thing-a-ma-bobbers that you can use to get infinite health/items/mp all souls/items and infinite ammounts and such. I used it on AoS, my first CV game, so I guess this is why I suck so bad at the series.

This is how I got kicked out of the last forums site I was a member of, thus I came here instead!

I only cheat in N64 games with lots of glitches. You know, no one would ever know about a glitch if there weren't people like me who find them and tell people about them!

Example: My Cucco glitch in Ocarina of Time

N64 games were made with a ton of glitches, but newer games don't have as many, thus, it's fun to screw up Ocarina of Time!
