Castlevania Glitches

I just got a crazy glitch in Aria of Sorrow, and I skipped half the game. I killed the first two bosses, then warped to the chaos realm and fought Julius!

Anyone else know any Castlevania glitches?

Wow, that's pretty bad, man. Never heard of something like skipping half the game. Hopefully your cart or gameboy isn't damaged.

I never found a single glitch in AOS.

POR is a whole other story.

That's pretty easy sequence breaking, no glitching. This trick is used in every AoS speedrun. You can also skip flying armor by doing a backdash and jumping, which is only needed at one point in the game.

I had the Mantichore/Curly/Devil-glitch in the chapel once, without knowing it. You know, the one where soma has completely white sprites.

one of the most annoying Castlevania Glitches is in Simons quest, where something if you whip as your falling off a ledge, you'll fall through the platform below and into an invisable lake, thus costing you a life.

a worthless glitch in Castlevania I, using the same principle and a hit knocking you up to a platform above you, happens in stage 4-3. a dragon will knock you up above the ceiling, not worth trying since it will cost you a quarter of your health.

My game is a little screwed up, it freezes a little and sometimes, when I teleport using the glitch, it makes a weird clicking sound and the screen goes black.

Besides that, it's okay. ;D

Perhaps you have a bootleg copy? I've had the misfortune of purchasing several in the past, and they all ended up being pretty buggy (and having trashy save batteries...).

Luckily though, I eventually managed to purchase the Castlevania Double Pack at a Gamestop, on the same visit that I was returning a copy of SotN that just wouldn't play, even after I got the numerous scratches buffed out. I guess I was hoping for a little too much after realizing that the case it came with smelled like a forest fire...

I tell you, that was a weird week.

Yeah, I have a double pack too. It's usually fine, but that glitch messed it up. It never messes up in Harmony of Dissonance though. I have yet to find a good glitch for that game. Those two are my favorite Castlevania side scrollers. It's awesome having both on one game pack.

I just discovered something amazing! In Castlevania 64 or Legacy of Darkness, if you have magic nitro with you, you save it, and start a new game, your character will still be carrying magic nitro with them when you start the game! Of course, it's impossible to beat the game like that, but it's still pretty cool.

I don't think that's a glitch your explaning; that's SQ's ridiculous fake tiles strewn about the mansions.

no, it is a glitch. I know where all the fake floors are
(there are 4 spots, to be exact, and none of them are over water)

Is this as you're falling while it slows down?

What are the four spots you experience this, exactly?
