There's a new attachment (looks almost like a MemoryPak from the N64 days) for the Wii that connects seamlessly to the bottom of the WiiMote.
What it does, is render your movements on the screen far more accurately than the regular Wiimote. As such, precision movements become possible.
The lag in the cursor becomes more in-tune with your hand movements, and games such as, say, Tennis, would have your swing be far more affected by your movements while serving.
In short, it would provide a more realistic experience depending on your arm/hand movements.
That's the reason I mentioned the light-saber battles. Rather than mapping just one function to the sword, it can accurately render all your wiimote movements...
But of course, if you're bad at using your hand/arm, it might register that as well...
