Really messed Up Dawn of Sorrow!

Okay, I need to stop screwing up all my games! I found this glitch on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE_JCG4fEXA) and after I used it, nothing seemed to be too messed up. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Not only did I get a ton of weird souls you're not supposed to get (All of Julius and Yoko's attacks, as well as one of Dario's) but when I went to fight the last boss, something went horribly, horribly wrong. I entered the room and both the beginning and ending cut-scenes were going on at the same time, making for an invisible Dmittri, two Arikados, and a bunch of mixed up and random crap, like Soma absorbing souls while talking and some weird changes in music. Then, I was teleported to the final cut-scene where you talk to Arikado about the dark lord and the credits start, but there was no one there-just Soma. And I could still run around and attack! After fooling around a bit there, I suspended my game, but when I tried to load it up again, I was in this really weird place with a bunch of giant numbers and shapes! I walked around for a bit, but then I died somehow. It's a good thing I've already beaten hard mode and gotten all the boss rush mode prizes before I started messing around with glitches! ;D

Has anyone else done this?

Yes, I've done this, and I haven't had any problems.

That's weird because even if I start a new file, I have problems with it. I made a new file and I started out on the OTHER SIDE of Celia's barrier! Then, Mina just kind of decided to walk down the street and leave me alone! :o

And through the course of all these glitches, let me guess, you didn't take one pic?  Pics or it didn't happen.

I did take pictures, but I don't have a computer to show you. I'm on the Wii because my computer is at Dell right now.

I also just beat the game without fighting any bosses using the same glitch. The glitch allows you to go through walls and doors, including boss doors! Unfortunately, there was no way to skip the final boss, so I had to use the iron golem soul and chaos ring to kill him. I'll post a Youtube video once I get my computer back.

yeah, it's one of the oldest dos glitches, the succubus glitch. it has various weird effects, including the ability to change into J mode, or fight soma as soma.

Whoa, how the heck do you do that?! I can only go through walls, skip bosses, go to the weird glitch stage, and kill Menace at level two.

it's all random. when you fly around inside walls random values change, giving you souls, changing things like which room leads where, and such. the j mode/soma thing is one of those changes.

So, is there a certain castle area that gives you the change or is everything random? I've been using the exact same save point every time. Also, is it when you start a new J-Mode file after using the glitch, or is it something you have to do during gameplay?

soma's mode changes partially into j mode. you'll see an ice shard in the top center of the screen, which will represent the doppelganger soul, j mode style with its subweapon changes.

sometimes the character variable changes too, so upon save/load soma'll change into J or someone else. or just crash if the character value is above 3, which is very easy to get.

So, pretty much, all I have to do continue shooting Soma around the castle? If I keep doing it in one room and haven't gotten it after 16 tries, should I try a different room?

I'm starting to get annoyed. Menace won't stay dead because of this glitch!

This is PRECISELY why you you shouldn't save after extensively using the Succubus glitch. You're basically stuck with a plethora of game-breaking glitches.

or save it in an empty slot. sometimes the effects you can get are awesome, like the soma vs soma battle.

The game is fine as long as I don't fight Menace after using the glitch more than once on the same file.

I've been messing around with the succubus glitch for years and i finally got to the crazy numbers area just a few days ago. I did a fair amount of succubus glitching (just to get 100% souls and then stopped) the fight with menace was completely normal and so was the ending, but when I re-started the file I was in the crazy number area.

The reason you die for no reason: the crazy number area is the clock tower, but with messed up graphics. The game loads you into one of the rooms that has spikes all over the place--but you can't see them! Luckily, I figured out the trick to it after 2-3 re-loads. The pink blocks are spikes, avoid them at all costs--as soon as the game loads, turn to bat and try to make it to the next room. Once you make it to a save room or warp room, you will be safe.

Here's where this post gets tl;dr
When you load the game (into crazy number area) you will probably have the abyss map showing, but your map cursor will be way off to the left. If you make it to the warp room and press up, your map will fix itself and you will be able to warp anywhere you want, and the graphics will be fixed.

If you make it to the save room in the clock-tower and save; then re-load: the game will load you into a different crazy number area (actually the dark chapel) and the map screen will be really messed up. There will only be a small section of dark grey rooms in the bottom left corner of the map screen. Again going to any warp room will fix the map and going to any new area will fix the graphics.

The only thing that will never fix itself is the back-ground music. There will never be any music unless you enter Yoko's room or Hammer's room--then that music will follow you everywhere in the castle...pretty cool, huh?
