Topic: Site Update!!!!

I'm posting this here, since most people read the topics here!!

So many news, but no site updates!! I think it's a same.

So what do you think guys? Should Kurt give the permission to someone else with the knowledge to do the updates for the site or he should leave it as it is right now?

The site should've been updated a long time ago. It's gonna be 2009 and the main page will still read "Dracula X Chronicles has just been released"

As I mentioned when a similar topic to this was posted in Off Topic:

"I spoke to Kurt about it and he said he'll update when the games come out".

While I do not agree that it should take that long for news, when the site is about CV News (so stuff should show up the day it's heard, even if it's a rumor), it's his site... so he can update or neglect.  It's a shame, but it's his site.

Perhaps he should appoint someone so that they update on news.

Whats a real shame is that before the site got the new look there was so much more content. Said content still has not been put back up and it never will by the look of things.

Things like " learn Japanese through Castlevania".
I prefer the old look of the site too, but thats a minor quibble when the topic is of regular updates and content. Yes I think we should give responsibility to someone who has the time ( or may i even say cares ) for the site!!

When ever the new update rolls around, it is going to be quite a sizable one.  New sections for OOE, Judgement, CV 360/PS3, and that new CV arcade game.

Agree on both the content and the look. The original site had a cheesy 1997 look that I loved. The newer look isn't good by any measure, it's flat and boring.

And yes, it's a bit pathetic when the site's message board has more news than the site itself.

At the same time, though, I can understand if Kurt has lost interest. That's what I think is going on. Still, he should appoint somebody to take care of the site for him.

we dont need a single person runnin this site. Its the biggest and first stop on the web for CV. It needs to be more of a wiki type site mostly run by the community and with the forums AS PART OF THE FUCKIN SITE.

Mainly we need the site as a front for all the info presented on the (read 'the' as a totally new wiki stored on the CVDungeon site) wiki. Where it takes images found or linked by community members editin the wiki and the reviews/descriptions/walkthrus/whatever else and filters it all into a website layout instead of html text wiki pages.

I'm in agreement with Jorge, too.

This used to be the place I went to for Castlevania news, and it was AWESOME to come here and see the cool stuff to look forward to. With the release of Dracula X I thought there would be more frequent updates again... but the site owner no longer seems very interested in Castlevania.

Sure, there are slow periods, but there's been a TON of Castlevania News. Judgement, Ecclesia, and there's some Devil May Cry-type game for the 360 and PS3 too! HUGE news!

I really hate to say it, as I've been reading this site practically since it started, but it might be time for me to find a new Castlevania site that actually cares about Castlevania
