It was manslaughter/child abuse though, not murder. He didn't intend to kill the baby by shaking it or hitting it, but more often than not that's usually what happens when you do that to a tiny infant.

seconded, punishment for these things, should be long and painful I say!
I can understnad holding a baby improperly and something going wrong due to that, I doubt I have the skills to handle a baby (I do try to avoid it too) but this isn't that.

Reminded me the case of a teenager who murdered his parents with an axe because they didn't let him play his video games.

Her name was Jennifer Strange (nope, I'm not making that up) and she was trying to get a Wii. I don't think even non-gamers are dumb enough to compete for a free Gamecube, which was probably in the top twenty of worst consoles ever.
