Should we get another PSP game?

With the success of Dracula X Chronicles, should Konami & IGA make another installment for the PSP?

I wouldn't mind another 'Chronicles' title, but I'd like to see what can be done with a completely original story. Would you prefer it to continue in 2.5D style, or should they convert the DS' pixel artstyle (it would be beneficial, better resolution, sound, etc.)? I think they could pull off something beautiful if done right. In his last interview I believe, IGA hinted at OoE being the last entry for the DS, so he should continue with the PSP!

However if they do decide to make it another [Chronicles] game, it should focus on Christopher, the most underrated Belmont of all time.

Thoughts?

I'd buy a Dracula Densetsu Chronicles game, or hell, just another PSP game. Make it happen, IGA!

I would like another PSP game in the form of a Castlevania Chronicles PS1 download from the playstation store.

It's been like a year since it's been rated by the ESRB to be released there and still hasn't come out.  >:(

Though I have to say a Chronicles title with both Castlevania Adventure and Belmont's revenge would be a splendid idea, same with a Castlevania 3 one.

The thing I hate about the PSP is its screen. Too much ghosting. I figured the PSP-3000 would remedy this, but that also looks horrible but in different ways. They've cut back the ghosting, but in the process the colors actually look kind of ugly, and there's all these vertical lines.

I guess I wouldn't mind another Castlevania for the system, but I sure would like the system to have a better screen.

And they better get a better music composer/arranger. :P The DXC score is dull. I only bought the recent two-disc release for the original Rondo score.

Yeah, I'm all for it.The limitation of the GBA and DS have held the series back. Higher resolution, a bigger screen, crisp music; all things I'd love to see more of. Yeah it sounds superficial but the impact is enormous. Cronicles X was one of my favorite CV titles and it was so relieving to return to the dark-moodiness of the series. I felt the first two DS titles were marketing too much to preteens and under. I'm tired of games getting ruined because of marketing reasons but the PSP at least is seen as a more "mature" system so the games a less geared to kids.

In all honesty though it might be too late for them to release a Metroidvania for the PSP. I would imagine it would take much more work to pull of in 3D unless you do something Bionic Commando rearmed did and have 3D tilesets. How about a remake of Castlevania 3? I could see that.

Personally, I'd rather not see any more handheld titles. I think it's about time we get back to the consoles, and I for one am very glad that the new PS3/XB360 game has been confirmed. Can't wait to get some further news on it.

However, IGA has also said he'd like to do more Chronicles games, and I hope he does. The 2 Chronicles games we have were both awesome, and I've been hoping for a long time that they do a Chronicles game with Christopher. (Imagine rolling the CV: Adventure and Belmont's Revenge into 1 huge game! I think that would be great.) I think we have more than enough handheld games, but I could see Chronicles games being developed only for the handhelds while new ideas get developed for the consoles.

I'd LOVE another PSP Castlevania game, though I doubt it'll happen. And honestly, the last couple console CV games have left a lot to be desired.

I would love a pixel-drawn sidescroller for Wii. That would be phenomenal. :o It would be rather silly to do on the higher-end consoles with 1280x720 resolution and stuff. I imagine drawing in that would be a pain in the dick.

Unless they just went for hand-drawn animation, which could potentially be cool.

If they release a PSP game I'm all for CV3. IGA loves it after all. If any game is subject to a remake its Dracula's Curse. Simon's Quest would be cool after playing OoE. The GB games would really be something to see as well.

The next 3D console game they better get there act together. Look at God of War or Devil May Cry. The PS2 Castlevania got everything right but level design! I would like to see Castlevania more nonlinear, adventurous and interesting.

Or PSN/X-Box Live release(does the Wii have something as well?). Think about that. A lot of those games are 2D (in gameplay at least) so they I think it would be a very appropriate medium.

For a Castlevania 3 remake they should add two new bosses to replace 2 out of 3 of the Cyclops boss fights.

In the original game depending on what paths you take you can fight him three times.  :o

I love a DXC-style game, whether it's a remake of Dracula's Curse or Simon's Quest, but for a Console.

PS2 would've been just as good for DraculaX Chronicles, and probably would've had more customers than PSP.

Right now, Any of the three Next-Gen systems could get a downloadable version via PSN/XBL/WiiWare.

DXC was too good for the system it was put on, methinks.

I replayed SotN on my PSP just before I played OoE. And I must say, it really did feel like a step down. Iga should put more support into the PSP rather than the DS. Of course, I'd rather have a console game though.

Yeah, I'd say a online release would be the best experience and most appropriate medium.

Just look at what came out; Prince of Persia Classic, 1941 Joint Strike, Bionic Commando, Megaman 9. Its the coming rebirth of 2D gameplay!
