So I got the chance to play Street Fighter 4 yesterday and it is awesome! It's very fluent, it looks gorgeous and is fun as hell.

I didn't try any of the new characters, cause I don't really care about them, but I did play as Sagat and Vega, and they both play great. The characters move fairly fast paced, which I like and the fights pretty long, which is also great. The Machine I played had 3 KO victories, instead of the normal 2. It's all around a great game!

So, if you live in or around Philadelphia, 44th and Spruce (West Philly, University City), theres an arcade, check it out

I believe you.
Though I'm a bit concerned about that Seth fellow.. He seems a bit unbalanced, but maybe his devastating cyclone-ish special attack is blockable or something? Looks like a goddamned Squeenix summon!

He can't be any worse than Krizalid from KoF '99. That guy was just a beast that could read your controls like no one elses business.

Yeah, Krizalid was truely a beast but he has got nothing on Orochi. I'll have to look up more on this Seth guy, I've haven't heard much on him.

It is awesome. I occasionally play it at the Family Fun Arcade. Zangief is supreme.

Yeah man...i remember he would stay on the opposite side of the screen, crouching...just waiting for me to attempt to attack him so can catch me with his boot and slam me to the floor.

Man i can wait for SFIV...i think i might enjoy playing with that Abel fellow, i've liked what i've seen so far in game play vids. Also,i don't like Seth at all, he's just so unoriginal. First of all he looks like Gill...why! Aren't clothes intmidating any more? Also, he doesn't have any original move outside from his super. If you've seen the new character trailer for him, he has Guile's sonic boom, Dhalsim's stretchy arms, Urien's shoulder tackle, Chun-li's lighting kick, a fucking shoryuken(and says it too), and he combines Ryu's Shin-Shoryuken with Atomic Buster for his other super (although that is kinda bad-ass). Shit at least Gill was red and blue with long glowing hair....Seth is just some bland grey.

Oh well, iv'e see him get his ass handed to him in the arcade on many occasions.

Yeah, Krizalid was truely a beast but he has got nothing on Orochi.

Krizalid and Orochi are a real pain, but certainly not the pinnacle of SNK Boss Syndrome.  Try Rugal from KOF '94, or Igniz from KOF 2001.

Back to the topic: I haven't played SFIV yet, and I didn't think much of it. (I'm looking forward to other fighting games such as BlazBlue or Arcana Heart 2.) But now that Dan, Sakura, and Rose are in it, I guess I'll check it out.

Now that both Cammy and FeiLong are in the home versions, I hope they'll add Deejay and T Hawk too.. Not that I ever used those characters back in the day, but I think they belong here.

Arcana Hearts 2 sucks!I've never played the first one, but there was a machine of 2 at the same arcade I was at. Easyiest and dumbest fighting game ever. I hate the character artwork there was nothing special about, I felt dirty playing it, but we were bored and thought we'd try it. You should seriously reconsider looking forward to SF4 more than Arcana Heart 2!

Blazblue, however, looks like it'll be good. I love Guilty Gear, probably my favorite fighting game, and since it's the same team I'm sure it'll be good.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  But "easiest and dumbest fighting game ever"? I truly hope that statement was just a hyperbole, because there are fighting games out there that are much easier (for instance, Pocket Fighter/Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, great game) and much, much dumber. (Street Fighter the Movie, anyone?)

Arcana Heart is known for having a steep learning curve, so I don't expect anyone to simply pick it up and play decently. (Anyone new to the game would think the characters are too slow and clunky.) I personally love playing Arcana Heart 1, and I hear that Arcana Heart 2 is miles better than the first, so... there you go.

well...i usually don't like to start flaming subjects but...let's start...

SF4 is a piece of crap, compared to SF3 3RD St. , the gameplay doesn't run smoothly, new characters seen cheap imitations and cheap themselves...Reminds me of the EX ones...i hate that kind of graphics, just like Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive (3D Castlevania's?), SF seens to be taking the wrong path in evolution.
Not to mention the idea of "age", if there's such thing in the mind of the designers, and the cliche "catching" phrases...
As a long life arcade gamer, i saw SF born and wish to see it die, while it still has its dignity, since 3RD Strike was an excellent game.

My rating:

Graphics: 3.5/5
Gameplay: 2/5
Sound & Music: 2/5
Controls: 2/5
Innovation: 1/5
Funness: 1/5

I'm playing Street Fighter 14 years and i was used to be the local champion on my neighborhood. SF3 3RD St is a spin off and i didn't like at all. From the ex series, i only liked the first one.

Now, for the new one, i haven't play it, but i really like those graphics and it is officialy the continuation of the original series. These for now. I want say anything else, until i play it for my self.
