Castlevania 3 Re-Translation?

I was looking at the Castlevania Wiki and saw this:

Quote
The fan translation community, finding the Japanese version of the game superior (especially in the sound department), retranslated Castlevania III.

But no matter where I looked, I just couldn't find it or any other hint towards it.

Reading about the differences between the two versions, I'd really like to play a re-translated version of the Japanese version (which I imagine might be better written than an NES Era translation).

I don't know if an actual alternate translation exists; all I've seen and have is the Japanese version (with all the original music and original graphics) with the English text from the US version hacked in.
Oh yeah, and also:
meat

Soda as well.

here's an overall guide for this sort of thing, you can skip step 3 in this particular case.

step 1) get the patch. http://www.romhacking.net/trans/730/ <- click the link under "patch version"

step 2) get a program to apply the patch

Thanks for that.

I searched Romhacking.net but I was searching for Castlevania and stuff, not "Akumajyou Densetsu".
