Alright, every week I'm gonna drop a hint about two particular characters and their fighting style.
You try to guess the characters and at the end of the week, I reveal the Character, along with how I rank their fighting style out of 100.
The Criteria is this:
Power
Combo Flow
Latent Abilities
Speed
At the end of these 14 weeks, I will make a ranked list (a Tier List) judging all the characters.
Character Number 1: ERIC!!!
Like I said in the hint, Eric has tons of potential. He is AMAZING when you use his moves correctly. Almost all his moves flow into each other and have enough stun time on them so that he can recover from his lag...which can be tremendous at times. It's a shame that many stop using him before they find out just how strong he can be. His combos can beatifully include Holy Water for extra damage if you've got good timing. He's pretty quick, even with his big Lance. And his dodge can lift him up into the air and set up some awesome combos. Overall, I believe Eric is a breathtakingly good character and I wouldn't want to have a good Eric player as my opponent.
Power:
9/10
Combo Flow:
10/10
Latent Abilities:
8/10
Speed:
9/10
Overall:
36/40
Character Number 2: Carmilla!!!
Gee, where do I begin? Although at first, she may seem dangerously powerful, Carmilla lacks in many departments. Her moves aren't all that strong and her combos are quite hard to set up. Even if one manages to do so, Carmilla's combos leave her quite vulnerable to a counterattack from an opponent who can get up quick. If she misses, she's in for some BIG lag punishing. Her overall combo flow is OK. Most of her Non-Combo moves have a lot of lag on them when missed. She's got speed, however...I'll give her that. Overall, as intimidating as she looks, she falls short of expectations. Don't be surprised to see Carmilla on the Lower Half of the list.

Power:
6/10
Combo Flow:
8/10
Latent Abilities:
4/10
Speed:
8/10
Overall:
26/40
Character Number 3: Simon!!!
You would think that he would appear on the cover for a reason, but nope, he sucks. He falls way short of "Belmont" expectations. His moves can do a fair bit of damage but his overall fighting style could be A LOT better. He's not the quickest of the bunch and can't incorporate sub-weapons into his game very well either. And his non-combo moves are...well...atrocious. Sorry, simon. Try again next time.
Power:
8/10
Combo Flow:
5/10
Speed:
6/10
Latent Abilities:
5/10
Character Number 4: Grant!!!
Agility, agility, agility. Man, this guy is not normal. Grant has awesomely fast combos that can hit up to, like 13 times. His projectile game and speed are rivalled by no other. I made a mistake in the hint, this guy's combo flow is incredible. He only falls short in brute force, other than that, his potential is endless. I can see him moving up in the future.
Power:
6/10
Speed:
10/10
Combo Flow:
8/10
Latent Abilities:
10/10
Overall:
34/40
Character Number 5: SHANOA!!!
Holy crap. At first glance, you wouldn't expect this of a character like her. Shanoa is probably the most well rounded character in the enitire game. She has amazing speed, power and combo flow. I swear to god, if she was better at incorporating sub-weapons into her gameplay, she would be unstoppable. But we all have a weak point. And that's it, other than that, Shanoa has no weaknesses.. So I wouldn't advise fighting this character because, in her words, "It's Futile".
Speed:
9/10
Power:
10/10
Combo Flow:
10/10
Latent Abilities:
8/10
Overall:
37/40
Unless, of course, you name starts with A....
Character Number 6: GOLEM!!!
Oh god, this review should be a quickie. Let's see...Speed and Combo Flow....nonexistent. Latent abilities...less than stellar. Power...all he has. Hmmm....and I wonder why we put him at the bottom of the list.
Power:
10/10
Speed:
1/10
Combo Flow:
3/10
Latent Abilities:
4/10
Overall:
18/40
Character Number 7: ALUCARD!!!
To be totally honest, I almost put him in Eric's spot, but my amigo convinced me otherwise. Alucard has everything you would want in a character...Speed, Power, Flow, Latent Abilities and an AWESOME name, but it's just that he doesn't have a super strong point. I guess that's his only weakness. Otherwise, I would totally reccomend him because of his well-rounded-ness and easy playability (I mean that anybody could just pick him up and kick @$$ with him), which is a thing that his superiors (Aeon, Shanoa and Eric) lack. I' pretty sure Alucard will keep his spot for the next few changes of the list.
Power:
8/10
Speed:
9/10
Combo Flow:
9/10
Latent Abilities:
9/10
Overall:
35/40
