Topic: Bloody Tears, so which one was first?

On Wikipedia it says that Kenichi Matsubara created the soundtrack to Haunted Castle and Castlevania 2.
But on many sites it says Haunted Castle came first and then Castlevania 2 (which means Bloody Tears actually comes from HC and not CV2).
I then see that CV2 was released on the FDS the year before Haunted Castle's release.

So, Bloody Tears, in what game was it originally featured? On HC or CV2?

Looking at release dates I would say CV2 FDS had it first, but every site credits it to Haunted Castle.
Is it possible that HC was supposed to come out first but the FDS version beat it to the race?

I think the song was orginally in Haunted Castle. But now I don't know anymore. But I'd say HC anyway.

Well in Japan, Simon's Quest came out in 87. And Haunted Castle wasn't out til 88....I think....So I'm saying it was for Simon's Quest first

I always thought that Haunted Castle was delayed in Japan for a bit, and that the game was in fact made before SQ? But in all honesty I don't know what I'm talking about anymore... I need to look into this again. It's teh konfusing!

I guess it was made for HC first but CV2 ending up coming out first.

I agree. I think the confusion on the issue stems from the really inferior quality of the disk system original  release. Suprisingly even with the capability to produce far superior sound than the american nes with it's ability to recognize external soundchips and utilize the disk drives built in superior sound capabilities the sound for the original version just plain sucks. Which surprised the hell outta me the first time I played it because usually the sound is far superior to the nes and almost approaches super nes standards like in the first 2 zeldas, metroid, kid icarus just to name a few.  The songs sound very bare bones and have a raw quality about them and almost sound like they were rushed and were unfinished. With just the main beat in most of them standing out while everything else sounds jumbled and unorganized, which may be why so many sites say HC had bloody tears first because that game was the first to have what we would call the full and modern version of the song. In fact it was because of Haunted Castle that the US and European Nes release of Simon's Quest got such great music.

The extended sound chip used for the japanese version of Simon's Quest is kinda noisy for me, it really hurts my ears.

The original Bloody Tears is Dracula2(CV2).

Composition person's KEN was written with Manual Page 1.
"BGM3 used the music of me of Dracula2."

BGM3 is Bloody Tears.
Dracula2 is ahead, and Haunted Castle is the next.
