I'll ask you only, if they are sounding better with more instruments.

He has them, and of course makes sure he tells everyone he has them, but then refuses to share? Sounds like bullshit to me. He doesn't have them. He just wants people to think hes cool.

Dark Nemesis: Yes of course, much much better. These are the original songs before they got downsampled.
I'm going to ask him if I can at least post them on youtube, but I doubt it. The plan is for Konami to make a soundtrack or sell them on iTunes.

Uzo: I'm already cool, so I don't need to have people thinking that I am. ;)
And no matter what you or anyone says, I'm not going to spread something someone told me not to spread if it can get him in trouble.
Also, I never said I had those tracks to brag about it, I said it for informational purposes, to let people know that there are better quality versions of the songs. I sure as hell would have loved to know if Michuru Yamane had alternate or unused SotN songs, even if there was no way to get them. But oh well, this is teh internetz, I should have known better.

Faced with that overwhelming number of solid facts and evidence you just provided, I completely believe you now.

The Not-worth-your-time meter should have hit its peak level first, ReyVee. At any rate, is there a chance you could list those original track names for us? Strictly for the sake of those forum members who can't download the game rips of course, or perhaps those of us who don't feel like downloading the full soundtrack for a third time.

Question too, while I'm at it. Are the tracks for Dracula's final dialogue and the finale before the credits supposed to be repeat tracks? Or is it an error? Serio's original rips had several tracks that differ from the ones on your soundtrack list. But they of course also had no names to speak of, not even 'Stage 1' or 'Boss Fight.' I've made it a point to catalogue all CV music for reference so any help would be appreciated.

well, they were pure rips from the game's files.

i only played through the game once, without sound, and it crashed during the battle with dracula, so not only i don't know the titles, i don't know which ones play where anyway. :o

"Are the tracks for Dracula's final dialogue and the finale before the credits supposed to be repeat tracks? Or is it an error?"

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure anymore. On my phone the game doesn't have any sound. On the emulator, the game has sound but it tends to disappear sometimes. I played and beat the game over 8 times and the Dracula defeat dialogue and ending did not contain any music. Then in another playthrough they did contain that repeated music. I played it yesterday again and I didn't get any music, however, if I went into the menu and out again, the music was heard.
So I really don't know if that's a bug in the emu or not. Until someone can confirm it on a real phone, I'll never be sure.

Sure Mobius, here are the songs as they appear on the game with their official name included.

01 Resting Again (story introduction)
02 Title (title screen)
03 Order of Shadows (stage 1 intermission)
04 Daring Assault (stage 1 the mansion)
05 The Encounter (boss theme)
06 stage clear

Well don't that just suck. Once again it shall fall upon some dedicated--... *sigh* TRULY, truly dedicated and deeply committed gamer to find this out for us. So get to it, people.

I have a theory though, see how in my recording there are 2 repeated songs? And in Serio's rip there are 2 unused songs? I believe those unused songs were supposed to be heard were those songs are being repeated.

I had that exact same theory when I heard Serio's shtuff, as a matter of fact. Unfortunately, until some hard evidence comes along I'll have to label each piece as per your original list.

Hey, that's what I'm doing [cataloguing all CV music]

Err... It's not that hard (that's what she said) Rey V G M (as in video game museum).

The game is really easy. It takes me less than 15 minutes to beat it, I'm sure someone with a good phone can do the same. If I'm not mistaken, there was a regular here that had one of those awesome phones were the game looked really great. I'm sure someone like that can help.

Video Game Museum, of course. The letters you were using were making think of, uh... Well, something I cannot repeat seeing as how somebody finally objected to my adult language on this forum recently. But ummm, it's one of my favorite things, heee.

...there was a regular here that had one of those awesome phones were the game looked really great.

I did not know that. In fact, I was not even aware such a thing was possible.  ;D
