Yea... I know. But people over react on anythign... it happens. But in anycase... Even if Carrie isn't, isn't Yoko still canon? So she'd still be a "plothole" that is still easily explained that Sypha isn't the only Belnades around.

My best guess is if Trevor and Sypha got married & hitched, they had to have at least two kids or someone in the Belmont line had two kids, likely Trev&Syph though. One of the kids likely chose the Belmont name that the married couple have gone by, while the other somewhere along the line maybe insisted on the Belnades maiden name. Or Trevor could've died in Curse of Darkness (If I got stabbed in the chest and kissed by a guy in leather I would die miserably.) and Sypha would be a widow under her old maiden name with one of her kids wanting to go by the Belmont name out of respect and to keep the legacy going.

Come to think of it, weren't the Belmonts shunned by townsfolk around that time? That'd also help my theory.

Not at all, that was only in Legends iirc, and that is already "discarded."

wouldn't that be a problem though? he was the last of the belmonts they could find in cv3, so if he died who would train his son how to be a belmont?

i mean, the definition of the real belmonts is that they're pretty cool guys, they fight dracula and doesn't afraid of anything
but without trev's teachings he could never know how to use the whip, about the subweapons, the methods of training the belmonts go through to become hulking masses of muscle etc.

People feared the Belmonts' power by that time. People became grateful for the Belmonts once Simon came around since it was in a time of need.

I still think that's a little farfetched, the child deciding to keep the Belnades surname. Especially with continuing family traditions, people were less liberal back then. And I'd think any child of a Belmont would wish to keep the Belmont surname first and foremost, particularly to carry on the name. And female will, nonetheless, marry into another family(hence Morris). Unless one of Trevor's daughters, or female descendants married back into the Belnades clan(married a male cousin). I never though Yoko, personally, was a direct descendant of Sypha, but more of a descendant of Sypha's family, the Belnades.

I don't think Trevor died. the Belmonts are superhuman, I'm sure he was able to overcome it. It's just one single stab, and if it didn't hit anything vital he should have been fine. I haven't heard of anyone mentioning this but has it crossed anybodies mind that the stabbing may have been intentional? Just seems strange Iga would just up and let his favorite belmont and most prized character get stabbed in the back for no reason. Maybe it was supposed to be a testament to Trevor's overall supernatural power that not even that could kill him.

You got it backwards. I want to end it. End the unfounded misnomer that the N64 games are canon.

Well Iga has stated that officially they aren't but anybody can make a timeline and put whatever games they wish into it. And Iga or whoever succeeds him might change his mind on those. Personally I dont' see anything wrong with the n64 games plotwise. I think It's just a matter of quality. (easily fixed by fixing the elements that drag that aspect down) If you retcon (or just change the date which I think is more logical than outright killing it) circle of the moon they actually fit in a perfect slot in the mid 1800's with a non belmont having the whip which eventually gets handed down to John Morris. Scheineder clan may even be closely related to the morris's. All descending from the mother belmont clan.

They're convoluted, contradict a lot of things, and leave a ton of things unexplained(same goes for CotM). KCEK's games were never meant to be canon, anyway.

well the n64 games were probably developed with a different time slot in mind, but then changed in the last minute. i mean, they have enough hints to show the first one's time slot was supposed to overwrite bloodlines.

there's the whole deal with motorcycles and technology, renon mentioning a large scale global war about to start (ww1) etc.

Actually, it was Issac's intent to kill Trevor.  But, if you remember, afterwards Julia informs Hector that Trevor was gravely injured and that his life was hanging on by a thread.  However, the game never states if Trevor dies or not.  So it could go either way.

Yeah but Julia is judging Trevor by normal Human standards. Trevor could have just been in a trance healing himself with his power. Julia is also a witch and is probably not well trained on human anatomy and physiology as well as the effect that trevors powers have on his physiology. If a primitive man came up on Spock from star trek in a trans they could conclude that he is dieing too. Or near death.

What are you talking about? Hector? Julia? They don't exist.
