strange...never seen this before. Anyway, perhaps its meant to depict the end of the game with the destruction of the castle with maria safe in alucard's arms. problem is 1)Drac's castle never burns. 2)alucard doesn't leave with Maria at all. so the most you can say is that the poster is inacurate.

Unless you consider that the fire means that the castle is EVIL!!! .....still doesn't explain Maria and Al.

Lastly, where was this used as an ad?

plus it's richter that required saving in sotn, not maria. she was there to save him, not to be a damsel in distress like almost every other female character in cv. :o

It's because it's a PSM cover. Not really official. Better than the CoD ads though.

I never knew it was an ad, I thought it was fan drawn. Definitely doesn't look all that great. Maria looks like a vamp.

You're forgetting about the recorded-but-unimplemented ending where Maria succumbs to being turned into a monster, and then Alucard is like "I AM BEOWULF, AND I'VE COME TO KILL YOUR MONSTER."

Wow, that is likely one of the sluttier pictures I've seen of Maria. Why is her black slip skirt riding all the way up her thighs so as to be nonexistent? Is she pulling it up for Al with the other hand?

And yeah, it's retarded that the castle is on fire.

...But that's a fucking cool pic of Alucard, for sure. He looks like a MAN in that pic  ;D ...Although he looks a little cross-eyed.

But We've seen this sort of composition before (Basically 80% of all 80's action flicks). Not very original at all.

It's a cover for a game mag which isn't official.  With the exception of few, there are lots of magazines that uses fanart as a cover.

PSM is no exception.  It is like the SOTN cover for Gamefans where it was drawn by some guy the magazine commissioned.

I think whoever they got the person to draw the psm cover, hasn't played Castevania and just supplied him with art of the character, which why Maria is in Alucard's arm.

Yeah if that's what she really looked like, alucard would have been an idiot for not hittin' on her.

It was done by Luis Royo.  He's a very good artist, mostly known for his work in Heavy Metal.

Besides the huge amounts of erotic art, I think his style actually fits well with CV.  I wouldn't mind seeing him do more for it.  Especially in the tone of the older games with a modernized look of the barbarian style.

They're more like bike shorts.
