Poll

Which Belmont got screwed the most?  You may choose 2.

Leon --Betrayed by hist best friend.  Forced to murder his fiance.  Didn't get the chance to fight Dracula.
Trevor --Lost an eye to Dracula.  Mortally wounded and kissed by Isaac.  Never even gets an epilogue in CoD.
Christopher --Monochrome, 8-bit Chris sits at the back of the Belmont bus.  Kicked Drac's ass twice and still didn't make Greatest 5.
Solieyu --Pocessed by Dracula at 14, he gets the ass whipping of his life from his own dad.  Poor kid.
Simon --More makeovers than Michael Jackson.  Would the real Simon please stand up?
Juste --weird winky merchant seems to be following him round the Castles...  Ends up having to share Lydie with Maxim.
Richter --After Rondo, his mind was violated by a Dark Priest.   May have been forced to murder his lover, Annette.
Julius --Suffered amnesia for 36 years.  Could be the last Belmont if he doesn't get laid.
Sonia --If Chris sits in the back of the Belmont bus, Sonia was thrown under it.  Disowned by official canon.
Victor --This is what a digital abortion looks like.  Resurection indeed.
Desmond, Zoe and Delores --Banished to the sub-canon  of  crappy cellular gaming.  Barely even added to this poll...
I don't know.  My mind was also violated by a Dark Priest.

Well, there is a contradiction. Dracula's Curse manual says Dracula got his powers from some kind of demon he resurrected

I meant the invincibility thing was kinda like an Item Crash. Like the precursor to the Item Crash.

And Strider, it's good to know that you weren't saying that Iga wasn't taking care of the series, but I must admit the following sentence does kinda give off the wrong image:

It sounds kind of like a bitter KCEK or Legends fanboy/girl saying that the retcon was a bad decision :P

Indeed it does, but no I just suffer from wanting a coherent story. btw I really don't enjoy the n64 games and i have never played legends, only CotM.

It would be really nice if he remade 3 like DXC though

Sonia got shafted worse than Richter (*rim-shot*) or any other Belmont in my estimation. Simply because she was designed for the sole purpose of giving CV a female protagonist and nothing more. - No substance, no originality, nada. As if that weren't bad enough, she gets dumped into a third-rate Game Boy cart with nothing different to do than Christopher before her, and winds up having to recite some of the lamest, most sophomoric dialogue this side of the WB/CW network. Even the worst of shojo anime gets packaged prettier than this! But the pen-ultimate rusty nail in her corpse came with the lazy idea to officially take her and everything associated with her out of the series. Yes sir-ree Bobby, this girl was given a backdoor screwing with a baseball bat and no reach-around hands down.

But when I look at how the poll is laid out, I can't help but observe how literally EVERY Belmont throughout history has indeed been royally screwed in more ways than one. Perhaps based on the reasons presented on this post alone, choosing a second Belmont would be too close to call for me. If I had to pick one though, I'd have to say Juste wins the runner up slot. Poor little pasty-faced dandy, relegated to being the first ever cookie-cut Alucard lookalike hero with barely any attention paid to his adventure's overall content. People credit Igarashi-sama with reinvigorating the series? I say this clunky GBA Symphony wannabe was the first sign that maybe the dude and his core creative team were a lot more flash than substance.

Both.  Examples of each are cited within the poll itself.

I say Sonia and Leon have it the worst.

Sonia had a horrible game.  But honestly, I thought that a female Belmont would be a nice change.  If done correctly, such a character has a lot of potential IMO.

Leon had it the worst because unlike his decendents, he actually was completely manipulated.  I'm not saying that Richter wasn't manipulated, but he at least had the excuse of being possessed by the ghost of a dark priest.  Leon wasn't possessed at all and ended up doing one of the hardest and most depraved things in order to gain the power he needed (a "human sacrifice").
