Why does Alucard hid who he truly is in the sorrow games?

This is something that I've been wondering about for a long time.  Why does Alucard hid who he truly is in the sorrow games?  It's obvious that Yoko and Julius (after he regains his memories) know who he really is.  So, why does he do it?

Does he do it to more easily blend into Japanese society and make himself seem more trustworthy?  Or, could it be that he doesn't want the more powerful enemies like Death to reconize him for some reason?  Or, is it some combination of both?  Or, even something else all together?

What do you all think?

Remember that in Julius Mode Alucard says: "I have to unleash my full power" and in the summary or I don't know where, says that Alucard sealed his powers to avoid theresurrection of his father in 1999.

I have an Alucard-Conspiracy theory but I won't post it here because it's long and I'm out of time :P but all I can say i that Alucard's powers attract the dark side, remember the 360 teasder: "Embracing darkness with a cursed bloodline"  :)

Because a white-haired guy named "Alucard" hanging out in Japan awaiting Dracula's resurrection would draw unwanted attention?

Remember how Soma told Graham that he didn't really believe in vampires? If Soma doesn't I suppose their world is pretty much like ours, that vampires are just fictional creatures to them. So I don't know about you, but if I were a half-vamprie prince of darkness who'd excisted for hundereds of years, I'd probably hide that little detail.. XD in order to not wake so much attention ;D

Also remember that he worked for some branch of the Japanese government at that point. I doubt they would have taken him seriously if he put "600 year old half-vampire" on his resume'.

I dunno... The Japanese government probably took him because he had "long hair and a totally badass sword" on his resume.

Are you kidding me? Almost every other person in the Castlevania universe has white hair.
Alucard has blonde hair, look at the artwork of DOS ;)

I think that his new appereance is also a disguise of his powers.

While we are on the subject where is he from Sotn-AoS? He isn't there to help poor Shanoa, he gives Eric his spear, He isn't around to help Johnathan and Charlotte, and then he appears to help Julius in Battle O' 99

I think that at the end of his story in judgment, states that after SotN, he was researching a way to defeat his father once and for all. So, he was probably traveling the world serching for a way.

Also, bloodlines and PoR were during the world wars.  So, travel is likely difficult, assuming that he wasn't in Translyvania at the time.  As for with Ecclesia, who knows.  Hopefully, an explanation will be provided either in an interview with Iga or in a future game.

That happens when the saga has a crazy and greedy director who doesn't think in the story spots and only thinks how to make money in the easiest money killing all logic reason in the storyline.

I'm only waiting for the 360 Cv, it that is not a good game and explains some story holes (let by IGA) I will be truly thinking that castlevania needs a director change, quickly.

The director change should've come straight away when he released Lament of innocence. That game did a MAJOR BIG plot hole concerning Dracula's origins. It was the series first No-No.

Really now? From what I remember, LoI did a pretty good job of creating an origin for Drac. Of course, unless there's something I'm forgetting.

BTW, doesn't Soma still wear the Crimson stone in DoS?

No, he doesn't.  There is an accessory called "tear of blood" but I don't think that it is meant to be the crimson stone.
1) if it was, wouldn't it be called the crimson stone
2) if it was, wouldn't Death become his servent
