I had the red ring of death too. I sent it to Microsoft and they fixed it good as new!

The 360 still has that problem? How shameful.

Yeah... they "fixed" mine too.

It works and all, but now it's a total bitch trying to get the video plug back in the system.  I have to force it.

WTF did they do to it? :(

I'm scared to move the system lest one day I just can't get it back in.

So I reiterate:  FUCK M$

Funny how I say it every day I'm at work to people bitching about the RROD and it still doesn't happen when they say that exact same thing, too.

It's only a matter of time, the dice have rolled lucky for you so far. ;)

I have a friend who comes in to my work, he's already had 3 360's get the RROD on him, something that should've long ago been fixed.

I've had two different models so far (a used core and a new Elite) and I haven't had it yet. It'll only be a matter of time, though. And I'm sure playing Dead Space for 5 or 6 hours at a time isn't helping, either.  :-[
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

I know a person that's had 7 (Yes, 7) RROD issues. It really is unacceptable.

Has anyone gotten a RROD with the Jasper chip?  I just picked up my first 360 this week and it has a Jasper...*crosses fingers*

My brother has had this problem. the system is given an operational lifespan of around two and a half years. CLUE IN MICROSOFT! THIS IS A CONSOLE NOT A COMPUTER!! CONSOLES ARE SUPOSED TO LAST FOR EVER!!!(Ahem...sorry.)  :-X
Anyhoo he had managed to milk another one and a half years out of his dying system before it finally gave out. That's commitment for ya.
