The only way we would ever see Dracula fight Gabriel is that if he split himself apart like Kami did with Piccolo, and that would be the dumbest thing ever.

Dear god this sounds exactly  like the kind of lame story twist cox would most likely try to pull. :-\

Gabriel.

I still think Dracula is Gabriel's dark half.

Very possbile, it happened to Cornell, Zobek and Camilla....why not Gabriel? I'm curious as if he will ascend into heaven like the others (thus leaving Dracula behind), surely defeating Satan and saving the world has to win him some angelic points lol.

This is a very good theory. Gabriel would be the fourth Lord of Shadow. Or the Lord of the Lords of Shadow.

The difference with Gabriel & the founders though is that they were holy warriors who unknowingly released their dark sides, Gabriel on the other hand has been shown to become increasingly darker all on his own.

This is exactly what I figured would happen.

I would think that it would be an awesome battle.  Pure light versus pure darkness.  Storywise, it is kind of predictable and therefore somewhat dumb, but I would still love to see such a battle.  It all comes down to execution.  The only way it would really suck is if Dracula used the same old boring teleport/fireball routine.

I also had another theory.

Remember hearing the Dracula battle theme from Super Castlevania IV in the trailer, completely untouched?

What if they're saving the re-orchestrated version for Resurrection? it just seemed like one giant tease to me.

Could be true. Yeah, and why would thru call it Resurrection, unless it was regarding resurrecting D?

But Cox said that "Gabriel's descent into darkness was complete" so, forget about the "battling the two halves" thing, he's going to get Dark, a la Anakin Sywalker (Hope it has child slaughter and all, dramatic stuff). So I still bet for Legion, or Death (zobek) as the "known CV enemy". Resurrection? who willl get resurrected? Zobek of course :P

Oh eeew. The prequels handled Anakin so horribly.
