how about a julius game...?

dunno if this has been suggested/discussed before, but what do you think about having a game featuring julius belmont and when he defeated dracula in 1999?
i reckon that there would be tons of room for ideas for new battle systems and plot, and he did say that there were others that helped him, including arikado maybe...?
it might be kind of cool to revert back to the old whip wielding again, but with a twist maybe. cos supposedly julius was super-strong when he was young or something...
the end of the plot could include julius losing his memory and having to seal the whip inside the castle somewhere, and since he did say that the whip was sealed somewhere in the castle, maybe that means that AoS's castle might have retained a similar place or something...? this way, they could theme the castle similar to AoS's castle, which i like most...
anyways, just want to know if this would be a good idea...

Yes, this has been discussed about 100 times now, but I enjoy repeating myself.

firstly i must apologize for bringing up something thats already been discussed in depth.
i was just interested to get some fresh personal views on the idea...

but anyways, i agree with darkwzrd4 that its strange that julius knew exactly where the whip was, but perhaps he used some sort of powerful sealing technique to cause one part of the castle to retain its form with the next reincarnation? if that was the case, which part would it be perhaps...?

yeah, and Reinhart77's idea with all the different character types is kinda cool. with all that content though, the 1999 castle has gotta be massive to ensure lengthy gameplay and to provide opportunities to use all the different characters, but thatd be a good thing anyway.
maybe a theme for the game could be about sealing away each part of the castle when you defeat it or something.

and, something i want to get straight is when dracula is defeated 'for good' in 1999, that means he is completely killed, right? so when soma inherits draculas abilities, soma is said to be a 'reincarnation' of dracula, as opposed to the previous 'resurrections' of dracula, am i correct?

I was going down your list of players and thought it made enough sense.  Then I noticed the Axe Man.  What the heck would that cheap PoR bonus have to do with The Last Stand of 1999?!  o_0  You might as well have included that Leaf Man Thing from Super CastleVania IV. ._.  Or Slogra.  .______.

Hey, a playable Axe Armor has been in Symphony of the Night and Portrait of Ruin, so I think its an integral part of Castlevania lore and deserves to show up in a game that includes a ton of playable characters.

hey, maybe there could also be a beast-man, like a descendant of cornell or something?
also, how about the fernandez clan (ie. carrie from CV64), are they related to the belnades, or are they totally unrelated? i guess having 2 witches would clash a bit, also that girl from PoR.
hmm, and another playable character is henry oldrey from CV64, though i would think it unlikely that his whole clan line would carry out the vampire hunting thing.

In Reply To #4 I believe you are correct. Because up until Soma, they were called "resurections" However, Soma is called Dracula's "reincarnation" due to his "defeat" in 1999 by Julius.

die, demon! you dont belong in this world.

Alucard, of course, would have the Aguena subweapon available to only him.  He basically has the Aguena in Castlevania Judgment, even though it's not a true subweapon in that game.  Don't forget about Bibuti (on second thought, I'd rather forget about it, but can't for nastolgia reasons).
