Dracula's Curse Animation Slide Deck

Whoa, I was trying to search the internet to see if I could find a translation of the Japanese manual for Dracula's Curse, when I stumbled across a page that contains details and images for the animated feature that I haven't seen before.  I can't really tell how old it is, but since it's talking about a live action movie being released in Q4 2009/, it can't be too new, but it's also talking about a PS3 Castlevania game, so it can't be too old either.  Has anyone seen this before?  I wonder if its the sort of thing that wasn't intended for the public to view?

Anyways, check out the new art for Alucard and Sypha and some fiends like the Cyclops, as well as the film synapsis.

That is an awesome find.

It's more info than we've gotten from the official website.

Now that's a Trevor Belmont. Alucard is... well... strange, but it kind of makes sense with his powers from CV3, I could see that version of him flying around shooting fireballs.

Great find, wonder how this managed to slip under the radar??

Alucard looks like he came out of Parasite Eve. Sypha looks awesome. Too bad there's no HQ versions =/ Story synopsis sounds promising.

The movie got canned, the Alucard game got canned, and now it seems that this probably got or will get canned too  >:(

Yeah, I'd wager that all three projects got axed at about the same time. I was hoping on seeing this one, but there hasn't been any news in nearly a year. It's pretty irritating not getting any official word, though.

I wanted to see this and the console game. The live action movie, though, I'm glad about.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

What a nice Alucard! It's creepy, vampiric, ethereal, great, I want a Alucard with that style in a Cox' Castlewvania :D It seems to be nice and very well adapted from the game.

Alucard reminds of Gary Oldman from Bram Stoker's Dracula for some reason. :o

Sypha looks fine I guess, but why the red hair?

Huh, didn't realize everything had been canceled. Probably a good thing in the live action movies case...

Ironically, with my av, I like that Trevor design the best out of what I have seen. Looks like someone that'd open a giant can of whoop-ass on Satan himself.

It's a pity if this has really been canceled. I was really looking forward to it.

As far as I can recall, the live action movie was cancelled but the animated one was still green-light.

Also, Sypha looks awesome but I hope that's not her final design. It all but screams "Hey I'm a girl" and it was supposed to be a huge reveal that she was indeed a woman because all throughout the game we thought she was a man.

That's a really good find, I wonder why it was never put up on the main CV movie site for the animated film?

Not sure where all this talk about it being cancelled is coming from, was there official word it's done?

I am holding out hopes that is still being produced along with the PS3 Alucard game.  Call me an optimist.

I just would rather see those two projects to be honest.

I wish the Alucard game was being in development  right now.
I think the game will be launched, I mean, it MUST be launched, we, the core fans, deserve to know the story holes on the Japan Timeline, and that includes PostSOTN and 1999. Even if thet's the last thing IGA could do in CV, they must do it, for us.
About Sypha, that's not a spoiler anymore, in gaming was an historic moment, but now everyone knows, it was easy to do at those times with the sprite limitations, but now, it's almost impossible, the only way it could be factible could be Sypha wearing a mask, or, being a very ugly woman  :P

It's not a secret to the FANS, yes, but to keep up with storyline, Sypha hid her identity as a woman. With the persecution of Lisa being a witch and practicing magic, Sypha would have done well herself to hide that she was a woman who practiced magic.
