Wish it would come out for the US already.

I really love the way the game (and Dracula's design) looks as well. A lot of traps, enemies and overall, Castlevania nostalgia. I rather like Dracula's boss fight.

I don'tknow about you, but the bat creture seems similar to the boss in the gb original

He does have a prominent rib cage and the beak is debatable
esp how the bat boss in rebirth has a long nose.  Maybe whoever did the sprites did her/his own idea of what the deathbaat looks like and maybe thought the "beak" is a long snout.

I mean, the rib cage, beak, and slogra connection are spectulations by Kurt Kalata.

That is if the death bat doesn't have a lineart drawing in the manual

Actually, the idea that Death Bat has ties to Slogra was started by us both nearly a decade ago...

...with very good reason.

Personally, accepting The Traditional Giant Vampire Bat as the Death Bat nod is like embracing that cyborg in Judgement as Grant DaNasty.  ...or that little girl as Lecarde.

I want a Slogroid, dammit!
(Belmont's Revenge ScrewBirth'll be their last chance...)

Alright, I had this big in-depth review written out, but my damn browser crashed so I'll just say this:

I have the game, I beat it on normal mode, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were things I like and mostly little things I didn't. In the end its a pretty good game, and a well done CV.
You just have to keep in mind that it isn't a straight remake of CVA. It is a Rebirth series game and those games are all about nostalgia for a given series, not for specific titles.
"Stuff and things."

How did you get to play it? Do you live in Japan?

You don't even have to emulate it. One can just hack their Wii and install the Japanese WiiWare version on their US console. Unless that's what you meant when you said emulation, in which case it's not.

Doing so is how I'm able to play CV:TA ReBirth and also the Japanese-exclusive Virtual Console releases of Rondo of Blood and Splatterhouse Arcade. ;D
Oh yeah, and also:
meat

Soda as well.

On the US Release Date:

This month's Nintendo Power has an article on it and alluded to the fact that it should be released for the US very soon. It said something along the lines of "Indeed, if you are reading this it has more than likely been released".
So it HAS to be soon. Unless Nintendo issues a statement going "PSYCH! j00 AR teh LO0zerz!" I find that improbable at best.

Then possibly by this coming Monday or the one that follows, as it's around the time Nintendo Power starts hitting stores and what not.
