Topic: Konami what the hell? Dracula X chronicles only on psp is evil!

I know the game has been out for two years here on PSP, but I was at best buy today and saw DX Chronicles for twenty bucks. I have been mad as hell ever since I found out it would be psp only. Why was this not put on ps2? I would of paid fifty bucks, def more if I had too. It would of likely sold many more copies on the ps2. Now that the ps2 days are pretty much done, why can they not just put it on Xbox live? I know Symphony of the Night already is but so what! I paid 200 bucks for a turbo duo back in 2004, and a 100 for just Dracula X alone. I own Symphony on PSX, the import Saturn version, and I have it on Xbox live. I think I and the others like me want a 20 dollar version of Dracula X chronicles on a system besides PSP. I have no desire for a psp, I wanna play it on a normal system which it should of been released for in the first place. Has anyone heard any rumor that might make me feel better? Even a US wii virtual console version is not enough! And why the fuck have we not gotten a Castlevania collection. I got Mega Man and Mega Man X collections for 20 a piece, and all the Metal Slug games for 40, or maybe that was even 20... Konami sucks.

Don't complain about company's failure to delivering games until you've gotten screwed over by Bandai-Namco. They're the worst.

Anyways, it's probably because the PS2 is practically dead and only smaller-name companies publish on it anymore.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories comes out on PS2 in January, and it is, of course, published by Konami.

The PSP can be connected to a tv so I don't see what the big deal is. If it wasn't for the PSP and it's continued tradition of releasing 3D remakes of classic games this game would of never happened. We finally got a release of Rondo of Blood and as a bonus a portable SOTN.

I use my psp on the computer with a program called RemoteJoyLite. You replace the drivers for the psp in windows with these and when you have the psp connected to the usb you run a lil program and it displays the psp screen on the computer. Even has control support so you dont have to touch to actual psp. I play mine all the time fullscreen with a 360 controller. Only time I even touch the psp is to put new games on it or turn it on/off

Have you tried it? The PSP connected to a TV is awful. For some reason, they don't allow the image to fill the screen. They instead transfer each pixel straight, with no stretching to fill an HDTV, nor anything cool like upscaling it to 1080p. They could have done so much more. The cable is also super short so you can't sit back comfortably unless you're right in front of the TV.

Not to mention games have more slow down when in TV mode.

Instead of translating the image in its entirety, they upped the resolution from 480x272 to 640x480 and centered the screen. More screen area, more time to draw, more slowdown.

It's sad really. No one has made any hacks to compensate for the no-fullscreen either. Then again it would likely result in even more slowdown.

about the game: in a sense. It's a remake of a game that Symphony of the Night is a direct sequel to, Rondo of Blood. Which was only ever released in Japan until X chronicles, the original Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night are unlockable bonuses..

Minor after note: In TV mode; DXC itself sees minimal slowdown I noticed. SotN and Rondo don't seem to have any, seeing as they are ports anyway.

Guess I'll never play. I'm not buying a psp ever. Yeah the play on tv mode sounds awful, and I don't wanna play it on my pc either. It should of been released on ps2. Maybe someday it will be put with some collection but I doubt it. Another game I had to buy the import of was Gradius Gaiden. Love the game. But it only came stateside on the PSP!

Based on the fact that so few of the people who want the game also have or even want a PSP, Some corporate idiot at Konami will see this as "proof" that nobody wants Rondo of Blood in the US market...  Putting it on PSP, when the DS is system to get for Castlevainia fans is almost what I call "marketing sabotage" as if the WANT the product to fail.

I dont get this at all.. every single portable CV game is on a Nintendo console.
So why not Rondo of Blood?? ?? ??
