Has anybody else ever thought about this besides me? We've all fought Death right? But what about his three brothers in arms? War, Pestilence and Famine...

I think the next time they make a CV game they should include a bossrush dual with the four horsemen of the apocalypse like what we had in SCV4 with Slogra, Gaibon then Death. I personally think it would be epic; A lone Belmont fighting against the four horsemen before his final struggle with Dracula. Hmm... Dracula controls the Apocalypse; Ouch!

It's actually an old idea that was floating in my head since the late 90's. When I was working on my own idea for a CV game; Castlevania Atlantis I think it was, I had wanted to incorporate the four horsemen; not just Death, but everybody.

Never thought about it, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea... though I never actually encompass this Death with the Death of the four horsemen. Odd that I didn't considering the Darksiders game that just got release and I already utterly beat.

Well it is certainly a good idea. I've always dreamed of doing a castlevania fan game but I lack the programming knowledge to actually do it.

I don't know how to program either and that's why I never continued to make the game. I can do sprites but that's it. *SIGH* I hate being limited... :-\

Ive thought about that too but I dont think our death is the one and the same as the horseman death. Ours is 'a' or 'the' grim reaper

I'd love to take the time and learn myself but I just can't bring up the patients to do so. But hay! That combining our resources sounds good to me. I've actually done some characters for the game. Though largely uncompleted I'll tell you a little about them.

Christy Morris. (The Belmont descendant. She was done long before IGA brought out AoS and I was getting tired of Konami not making any games that took place after Bloodlines. So this game was in effect a sequel to Bloodlines. It's dated 2017. Exactly 100 years after Bloodlines).

Clancy. (I've never given this kid a full name but he was raised up along-side Christy. his character is more for substance then anything else).

Hellsing. (I can't remember his full name but he is the direct descendant of Aberham Van Hellsing. His is Christy's Teacher and mentor).

Guardian of Atlantis. (She has no name as of yet. Her roll in the Atlantian temple is like the shopkeeper from SotN. She becomes playable with her own story if you find her character crystal in the main game).

Other playable characters:

Rusty. (If you've ever played rust for the PC98 Japanese computer then you'll know who I'm talking about. She also has her own story).

Richter Belmont. (I redid the entire Richter Belmont sprite to match up with his RoB character art. It turned out well. He has his own story).

THe main villains and other villains:

Dracula, Carmilla, The four horsemen, etc.

The othe main villain who started it all was a world-wide businessman from asia who wanted to use the power Dracula for his own purpose. If I did give him a name then I don't remember. But he is responsible for wiping out all relatives of the Belmont clan except Christy whom was secretly hidden away by Hellsing.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I started this project in 97 but never realy continued with it except doing character sprites off and on.

Same goes with me.  Maybe, there will be a game that takes place after DoS where the next darklord (may or may not be Soma) unleashes the other three horsemen and creates a new dark age of death and destruction.
Behold my power and tremble

I'll do what i can to show you guys the sprites I've done but they were done a long time ago and might not be to others expectations. In terms of Death? Yes, he is the Grim Reaper, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. The one and the same.
